  1. I'm a Brewer fan, I'm quite accustomed to the annual October tradition of a massively disappointing playoff exit. Having it be to the Cubs or Cardinals would just be a different type of disappointment. I'd gladly roll the dice on being able to hang our hat on knocking one of them out than the usual knockout by a random NL East team.
  2. Braves I would think. It would be the worst wild card.
  3. Why would we not want to play the Cubs or Cardinals to open the playoffs? They suck, and it would be highly enjoyable to end their season. If we're going to be the 3 seed, which is the most likely scenario, I'd rather open with either of them than any of the other likely alternatives.
  4. Went to go post a screenshot of the "walk" on the MLB umpires association X account and it turns out I must have done that at some point in the past because they have me blocked. No shocker that the X account for their union is just as thin skinned as their individual employees.
  5. Was a little early in the game for all the Montas victory laps. Although it should be 2-2, he absolutely was screwed in the Langiliers AB and there aren't enough words to explain how pathetic CB Bucknor is.
  6. Momentarily, we have pulled ahead of the Phillies for the 2 seed in the NL. As recently as July 13th, they were 29 games over .500, when we were only 12 over. Didn't realize how much they've scuffled in the 2nd half. 12-20. Ouch.
  7. *Holds my breath as Adames fires to 1st for the last out*
  8. Yeah that's a fair point. You won't be able to just ask in those mid-innings. But late it never hurts to just use it.
  9. If Bryse Wilson can't handle a 5 run lead without having to get another reliever hot, he doesn't need to be in this bullpen anymore.
  10. Yeah...but there's a few guys in MLB you could say that for. It's definitely easier said than done.
  11. They probably saw some adjustments that they could make and fixed him.
  12. Bryse Wilson seems like the perfect choice when you're comfortable with your lead but not that comfortable.
  13. He was neither out of the baseline nor out.
  14. The manager tells the umpire "We already used our challenge but we want you to look at it again anyway" and the umpire says "okay."
  15. Looks safe to me. This is why I never have a problem with the manager challenging a play at any point in the game because even if you don't have a challenge you can just ask nicely and they'll give you another one.
  16. Lol off the bat I figured there was about a 0% chance of it resulting in a run scored.
  17. Every Hoskins AB you're just pretty much hoping that he can run into one. Other than that, he is pretty useless.
  18. Both A's fans really booing loudly after that sequence.
  19. Would be hilarious if Kotsay was out arguing and the ump said "now it's 0-2."
  20. Not looking like 5 runs is gonna win this.
  21. Death, taxes, and Mitchell watching strike 3 go by with RISP.
  22. Seems like Willy did pay attention during the pregame scouting report today.
  23. Could have been more, but you'll take 3 runs in an inning.
