Final: Huntsville 6, Jacksonville 5 Huntsville box score Lorenzo Cain continues to get on base, 2-4 with a walk today; he's still without an extra-base hit on the season, but he's making up for it somewhat with baserunning, stealing two more today to put him at six for the year. Brett Lawrie tripled for the second day in a row and drew a walk, already his 9th of the year, but also committed his third error. Taylor Green and Jonathan Lucroy were each 1-3 with a walk, with Green's hit being a double. Caleb Gindl was 1-5 with his first stolen base. Starter Chris "Commander" Cody struggled to live up to his nickname, walking four in 5.1 innings en route to allowing three runs, two earned. Mike Jones struck out two and walked none in 1.2 innings but allowed three hits and an unearned run. Huntsville play-by-play Seems like the Stars are doing most of their damage out of the gates this year; they got five of their six runs in the first two innings. The 6th was a big inning for the Suns, as they narrowed the margin from 5-1 to 5-4, but it could have been even bigger had Jones not retired uberprospect Mike Stanton to end the threat: Jacksonville Top 6th Lee Mitchell doubles (1) on a fly ball to right fielder Caleb Gindl. Jason Delaney grounds out, shortstop Zelous Wheeler to first baseman Chris Errecart. Coaching visit to mound. Ryan Curry walks. Pitcher Change: Mike Jones replaces Chris Cody, batting 8th. Defensive Substitution: Chuck Caufield replaces pitcher Chris Cody, batting 9th, playing left field. Chris Hatcher singles on a ground ball to center fielder Lorenzo Cain. Lee Mitchell scores. Ryan Curry to 2nd. Offensive Substitution: Pinch hitter Brandon Tripp replaces Brad Stone. Brandon Tripp reaches on force attempt, fielding error by second baseman Brett Lawrie. Ryan Curry scores. Chris Hatcher to 3rd. Lorenzo Scott grounds into a force out, second baseman Brett Lawrie to shortstop Zelous Wheeler. Chris Hatcher scores. Brandon Tripp out at 2nd. Lorenzo Scott to 1st. Osvaldo Martinez singles on a fly ball to left fielder Chuck Caufield. Lorenzo Scott to 2nd. Mike Stanton grounds out, shortstop Zelous Wheeler to first baseman Chris Errecart.

Final: Quad Cities 4, Wisconsin 3 Quad Cities edges Wisconsin Chris Mehring/TimberRattlers.com DAVENPORT, IA – The Quad Cities River Bandits took a 4-1 lead and held on for a 4-3 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Sunday afternoon at Modern Woodmen Park. Scott Schneider allowed one run over five innings for the win. Chris Dennis and Cameron Garfield provided the Rattlers with a homer each, but Wisconsin could not make up the three run deficit. Dennis gave the Timber Rattlers (4-7) a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. The Rattlers first baseman drove the first pitch of the inning over the wall in right for a homer. The dinger was the third of the season for Dennis. Quad Cities (9-2) got on the scoreboard and took the lead in the bottom of the third. D’Marcus Ingram stepped up with runners at second and third with one out and tied the game with a sacrifice fly. An error on a grounder off the bat of Jason Stidham allowed the second run of the inning to score. The River Bandits added to their run total with a third inning run. Matt Adams doubled with one out. Ryde Rodriguez drove in Adams with a single to center and Quad Cities was up 3-1. Ryan Jackson made the score 4-1 with an RBI single in the fifth. That was more than enough for the tandem of Schneider and Deryk #+$$%$. Schneider allowed one run on three hits over five innings and racked up six strikeouts. #+$$%$ tossed three scoreless frames and struck out three. Maverick Lasker was the starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers and he allowed all four River Bandits runs over five innings on the hill. He struck out three and did not walk a batter. Kyle Heckathorn, a supplemental first round pick of the Brewers in the 2009 draft, pitched three scoreless innings in relief and struck out four while allowing one hit. Garfield made it interesting in the top of the ninth inning against River Bandit closer Aaron Terry. The Timber Rattlers catcher connected with a pitch and drove the ball over the left field wall for a two-run homer with one out to get Wisconsin to within a run. But, Terry got the final two outs to nail down the save, his third of the season. The final game of the series is Monday morning at Modern Woodmen Park. Nick Bucci (0-0, 0.00) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Eric Fornataro (0-0, 0.00) is set to start for the River Bandits. Wisconsin box score Man, both BC and Wisconsin came up just short. Really great to see Heckathorn bounce back with a very good outing. Garfield's homer was his first of the year. Dennis added a single to go along with his homer. D'Vontrey Richardson and Khris Davis were each 1-4, while Scooter Gennett failed to reach base for the first time all year and committed his 4th error. Wisconsin play-by-play

Final: Lakeland 3, Brevard County 2 Brevard County box score Mike Fiers wasn't as sharp as he'd been in his first two starts, allowing three runs in six innings on six hits, two walks, and a hit batter while only striking out two. Still, he gave the Manatees a chance to win, and as usual it was their lack of offense that doomed them. Unusually, they actually managed three whole extra-base hits today, doubles by Erik Komatsu, Brock Kjeldgaard, and Steve Braun, in Braun's case his first hit of the year; Komatsu added a single and a stolen base and Kjeldgaard a walk. Komatsu's average is creeping back towards respectability, up to .256 now. Josh Prince singled and was caught stealing. I initially read the subtitle of today's Link Report as "Manatees Throughout", and Erik Miller lived up to that, or at least a homophone of that, by throwing a runner out at home for the second time in three games. Brevard County play-by-play After back-to-back doubles from Komatsu and Kjeldgaard brought put the tying run on second base with no outs in the 9th, the next three batters struck out to end the game.

Makes me wonder about whether the gun really is hot. I know it was last year, but that would mean Heckathorn was possibly touching 100 while Odorizzi was in the low- to mid-90s. Heckathorn was reputed to touch 98 or 99 last year at Kennesaw State, and Odorizzi is/was of course "projected to add velocity as he fills out"™, but those numbers would nevertheless be surprising. The alternative, however, is dismal: Arnett really was throwing 86-90 in his first start. Who knows--maybe these are readings from different guns that I'm conflating. He had 36 games left on his suspension at the beginning of the year, and the Manatees have played 10 games, so he has 26 games remaining. That makes him eligible to return May 16th against Palm Beach.

Final: Huntsville 5, Jacksonville 2 Huntsville box score Jonathan Lucroy is apparently a student of the Mike Jones school of thought when it comes to repeating Huntsville, doing his best to hit his way up the chain with a 3-3 night (plus a walk) that has his average now sitting at a meaty .485. Lorenzo Cain has also been attending classes, as his two hits put him at .350 (he also drew a walk). Brett Lawrie finally got back on the board, smacking a triple, Taylor Green was 1-3 with a HBP, and Caleb Gindl got skunked, 0-4. Lee Haydel represented the bottom of the order with a double and two singles. Michael Bowman allowed plenty of baserunners--eight hits and a walk in five innings--but managed to limit the damage to just two runs while striking out four, helped tremendously by three double plays. Brandon Kintzler continues to impress, striking out two in the 9th for his third save. Old friend Vinny Rottino, newly arrived from AAA, was the Suns' starting catcher. Huntsville play-by-play Nice start for the Stars: Huntsville Bottom 1st Lorenzo Cain walks. Brett Lawrie triples (2) on a fly ball to center fielder Lorenzo Scott. Lorenzo Cain scores. Caleb Gindl grounds out, second baseman Tim Torres to first baseman Lee Mitchell. Brett Lawrie scores. Jonathan Lucroy singles on a ground ball to left fielder Brandon Tripp. Taylor Green singles on a ground ball to center fielder Lorenzo Scott. Jonathan Lucroy to 2nd. With Zelous Wheeler batting, passed ball by Vinny Rottino, Jonathan Lucroy to 3rd. Taylor Green to 2nd. Zelous Wheeler strikes out swinging. Chris Errecart flies out to right fielder Mike Stanton. It wasn't just double plays bailing Bowman out; he also helped himself: Jacksonville Top 2nd Brandon Tripp singles on a ground ball to right fielder Caleb Gindl. Vinny Rottino doubles (1) on a fly ball to right fielder Caleb Gindl. Brandon Tripp to 3rd. Tim Torres called out on strikes. Jose Rosario strikes out swinging. Lorenzo Scott grounds out, second baseman Brett Lawrie to first baseman Chris Errecart.

Final: Nashville 7, Iowa 1 Sounds Take Down I-Cubs For First Home Win NashvilleSounds.com NASHVILLE - The Nashville Sounds earned their first home win of the season as they defeated the Iowa Cubs by a 7-1 count on Saturday evening in front of 5,054 fans at historic Greer Stadium. Nashville improved the best record in the Pacific Coast League to 8-2 with the win. The Sounds received a quality start by Chase Wright and a 10-hit offensive attack that included knocks by every starter except shortstop Luis Cruz. The Sounds grabbed a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the second as they sent 10 batters to the plate against I-Cubs starter Mike Parisi, taking advantage of a pair of Iowa miscues and a wild pitch. After Nashville loaded the bases when two batters were hit by pitches sandwiched around a Joe Koshansky ground-rule double, catcher Angel Salome lined a two-run single to center to put the home team on the board. Later in the frame, Wright helped his own cause with an opposite-field RBI single to left. Trent Oeltjen increased the Nashville lead to 7-0 in the fourth when he laced an RBI double just inside the first base bag to score Ray Olmedo. Iowa got on the board in the fifth when former Sound Mark Johnson led off with a pinch-hit single off Wright and later scored in unearned fashion following a fielding error by Olmedo at second base. Wright (1-0) turned in his third quality start in three career outings against Iowa to pick up his first victory of the season. He allowed one unearned run on four hits over six innings. David Johnson followed Wright with two scoreless innings before Mitch Stetter worked a scoreless top of the ninth in his first minor league appearance since 2008. Parisi (0-1) took the loss for Iowa after giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits in four innings of action. The teams continue the series with a 2:05 p.m. matinee on Sunday afternoon. Right-hander Kameron Loe (1-1, 3.75) will man the bump for the Sounds to face Iowa southpaw J.R. Mathes (0-1, 8.10). Nashville box scoreStetter is probably happy to be sent to a team that wins once in awhile. Brendan Katin did not play after leaving yesterday's game with an apparent injury. Adam Heether was 1-3 with a HBP.http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=t556&gid=2010_04_17_iowaaa_nasaaa_1&cid=556&t=g_box Nashville play-by-play

Final: Quad Cities 9, Wisconsin 5 River Bandits take series opener Chris Mehring/TimberRattlers.com DAVENPORT, IA – The Quad Cities River Bandits scored five times in the first three innings at Modern Woodmen Park on Saturday night. Then, they took advantage of five Wisconsin Timber Rattlers errors over the next two innings. Quad Cities beat the Rattlers 9-5 despite Wisconsin’s offense banging out 13 hits – with nine of those hits going for extra bases. Quad Cities (8-2) got in front in the bottom of the first inning. D’Marcus Ingram doubled to start the inning. One out later, Niko Vasquez doubled to knock in Ingram for a 1-0 lead. The River Bandits pushed their lead out to 5-0 with a pair of runs in the second and third innings off Rattlers starter Eric Arnett. Ryde Rodriguez capped the early outburst with a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the third. Wisconsin (4-6) got on the board in the top of the fourth inning. Khris Davis doubled and Chris Dennis followed with a double. But, the Timber Rattlers defense kicked the ball around in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Timber Rattlers were charged with four errors and a passed ball as the River Bandits scored three times in the inning to take an 8-1 lead. Arnett left after the first out was recorded in the fourth. His line in his second start with Wisconsin was 4.1IP, 6H, 8R, 5ER, 5K. Arnett would be tagged with the loss. Wisconsin’s offense got right back to work in the top of the fifth. Pete Fatse tripled to start the inning. One out later, Franklin Romero, Jr. doubled him home. Then, with two outs, Scooter Gennett and Davis smacked back-to-back RBI doubles to get the Rattlers to within 8-4. But, another Wisconsin error in the bottom of the fifth inning led to another unearned run for the River Bandits. Gennett drove in a run in the seventh with a sacrifice fly to make the score 9-5. But, that was the final run of the game. Joe Kelley was the winner in relief for the River Bandits. He allowed one run over 4-1/3 innings to move his record to 2-0. Davis led the Wisconsin hit parade with a 3-for-4 night. All three of his hits were doubles. Game two of the series is Sunday afternoon at Modern Woodmen Park. Kyle Heckathorn (0-1, 9.00) gets the starting assignment for the Timber Rattlers. Scott Schneider (1-0, 0.00) is set to start for the River Bandits. Wisconsin box score Well, Arnett's second start is causing me to rethink my assertion that Heckathorn's second will necessarily be better than his first. Bright side: Arnett now has an 8/0 K/BB in 7.1 innings this year. I'd love to know how hard he was throwing this time out. Okay, moving on to the fun stuff; the Rattlers' extra-base hits: Gennett doubled once, Davis thrice, Dennis twice, and Romero twice, and Fatse tripled once. Naturally, Dennis drew the only walk. Romero is batting .222 on the year with only eight hits, but six of them have been for extra bases. D'Vontrey Richardson was 0-5 with three strikeouts. Almost worse than Arnett's line was the continuation of the comedy (tragedy?) of errors by the defense. Fatse and Carlos George had two each, and Cameron Garfield added an errant pickoff throw and a passed ball as well. More fielding drills, guys. Wisconsin play-by-play Seriously, check out the beginning of this inning. Unreal. Quad Cities Bottom 4th Ryan Jackson reaches on fielding error by third baseman Peter Fatse. Ryan Jackson to 2nd. Luis Mateo reaches on fielding error by third baseman Peter Fatse. With D'Marcus Ingram batting, throwing error by Cameron Garfield on the pickoff attempt, Ryan Jackson to 3rd. Luis Mateo to 2nd. D'Marcus Ingram reaches on fielding error by shortstop Carlos George. Ryan Jackson scores. Luis Mateo to 3rd. With Jason Stidham batting, passed ball by Cameron Garfield, Luis Mateo scores. D'Marcus Ingram to 3rd. Jason Stidham out on a sacrifice fly to left fielder Khristopher Davis. D'Marcus Ingram scores. Pitcher Change: Caleb Thielbar replaces Eric Arnett. Niko Vasquez singles on a fly ball to center fielder D' Vontrey Richardson. Matthew Adams called out on strikes. Devin Shepherd flies out to center fielder D' Vontrey Richardson.

Final: Dunedin 10, Brevard County 1 Brevard County box score Not a lot to like here. Trey Watten didn't have his sinker working (3/4 GO/AO), leading to five runs allowed on six hits and two walks. The three pitchers who succeeded him--Dan Meadows, Evan Frederickson, and Nick Tyson--weren't much better, each allowing at least a run, though Frederickson's appearance was arguably successful by his standards, allowing as he did just one run while striking out four and walking one. Aplate, the Manatees are awfully dull with Kentrail Davis laid up. Erik Miller was the only 'Tee with multiple hits, and Josh Prince's double to lead off the game was their only extra-base knock. Steve Braun grounded out as a pinch hitter in his first game action since breaking his ankle last year. Brevard County play-by-play

Final: Brevard County 4, Dunedin 1 Brevard County box score Cody Scarpetta's second start went a whole lot better than his first. He tossed six scoreless innings, allowing five hits, striking out six, and walking just one (plus a hit batter). That last bit is especially encouraging in light of the six free passes he handed out in his debut. Erik Komatsu was the offensive star for the Manatees, posting a perfect 4-4 line while komalishing a double and stealing three bases. Sergio Miranda and Mike Roberts each had two hits, and Erik Miller went 1-3 with a sac fly and threw a runner out at home. Brevard County play-by-play Scarpetta's first four strikeouts were called, including three in the first inning.

Final: Jacksonville 7, Huntsville 2 Huntsville box score Well, the offense didn't quite show up tonight, not enough to overcome Alex Periard allowing five runs in 5.2 innings, anyway. The Stars were down only 2-1 entering the 6th, but Periard gave up a three-spot and the Suns cruised from there to victory. Looks like it would have been a frustrating game to watch as a spectator, as the two staffs combined for eleven walks, seven wild pitches, and three hit batters. Mark Willinsky had an interesting night, allowing a run on two hits and two walks in two innings but striking out six. The offense the Stars did produce was keyed by Lorenzo Cain's two hits, walk, and two stolen bases. Jonathan Lucroy had a single and walk, Caleb Gindl tallied a double and, offended, threw a runner out at third, and Taylor Green and Brett Lawrie each walked once. Lawrie's patience thus far has been great, but with his 0-4 night otherwise (three strikeouts), his average is down to .192. Huntsville play-by-play The 6th that sunk the Stars: Jacksonville Top 6th Offensive Substitution: Pinch hitter Lee Mitchell replaces Tom Koehler. Lee Mitchell strikes out swinging. Lorenzo Scott singles on a fly ball to center fielder Lorenzo Cain. With Osvaldo Martinez batting, wild pitch by Alex Periard, Lorenzo Scott to 2nd. Osvaldo Martinez doubles (3) on a fly ball to center fielder Lorenzo Cain. Lorenzo Scott scores. Coaching visit to mound. Alex Periard intentionally walks Mike Stanton. With Mark Saccomanno batting, wild pitch by Alex Periard, Osvaldo Martinez to 3rd. Mike Stanton to 2nd. Mark Saccomanno lines out to second baseman Brett Lawrie. Matt Dominguez singles on a fly ball to center fielder Lorenzo Cain. Osvaldo Martinez scores. Mike Stanton scores. Pitcher Change: Mike Jones replaces Alex Periard, batting 9th. Jason Delaney strikes out swinging.

Final: Burlington 11, Wisconsin 4 Bees sting Rattlers with big first inning Chris Mehring/TimberRattlers.com GRAND CHUTE, WI – Community Field is turning into a house of horrors for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The Rattlers lost their seventh straight game at the home of the Burlington Bees when Burlington topped them 11-4 on Thursday night. The Bees scored six times in the first inning and twice more in the second inning as they cruised to the victory. For the second night in a row, the Bees (3-5) sent 10 men to the plate in the first inning. Also for the second night in a row, the Bees scored all of their first inning runs after there were two outs. Carlo Testa started the scoring when his bloop hit dropped in just fair down the left field line for a two-run double. Rattlers starting pitcher Efrain Nieves walked the next batter and gave up an infield single to load the bases. Jose Bonilla reached on an infield single to third. First baseman Sean Halton lost Pete Fatse’s throw in the setting sun and three runs scored on the play. Bonilla, who wound up on third base on the play, scored moments later on a single by Ryan Stovall to make the score 6-0. The Bees added two more runs in the bottom of the second inning. Gerard Hall cracked a two-run double with the bases loaded and Burlington was up 8-0. D’Vontrey Richardson put Wisconsin (3-5) on the board with a two-run double of his own in the top of the third. Michael Marseco plated a run in the top of the sixth with a sacrifice fly to make the score 8-3. But, the Bees had a couple of answers to the Wisconsin runs. Hall drove in his seventh run of the series with a ground out in the sixth inning. Hilton Richardson hit a long two-run home run in the seventh and the Bees went up 11-3. Marseco drove in his second run of the game with a two-out single in the top of the eighth inning. But, that was it for the Rattlers offense. Ryan Lafferty was the winning pitcher as he worked 5-1/3 innings in relief and struck out five batters. Nieves, who took most of the damage, was charged with the loss. He gave up eight runs (six earned) on eight hits and three walks. Wisconsin and Burlington wrap up their three game series on Friday night. The Timber Rattlers have Jake Odorizzi (0-0, 0.00) as their scheduled starter. Burlington will counter with Matt Mitchell (0-0, 3.86). Wisconsin box score Two straight execrable starts for the Rattlers. It's too bad Hiram Burgos was only able to get an inning in; hopefully we'll see him again soon. D'Vontrey Richardson's average is creeping up, as his two doubles in five trips make him 7 for his last 22 after a 1-12 start. As mentioned above, Scooter Gennett left the game in the third inning with an apparent injury but did extend his hitting streak to seven with a first-inning single; he also walked in the third. Khris Davis was 1-5 but grounded into two double plays, Chris Dennis 0-4 with a HBP, and Cameron Garfield 0-4 with a walk. Down at the bottom of the order, Pete Fatse chipped in with a double and a walk and Mighty Mike Marseco was 1-1 with two walks. Wisconsin play-by-play Down 8-2 in the 5th, the Rattlers might have gotten back into it with a big hit from Dennis, but it wasn't to be: Wisconsin Top 5th Michael Marseco walks. Franklin Romero flies out to right fielder Rene Oriental in foul territory. D' Vontrey Richardson pops out to second baseman Gerard Hall. Joseph Paciorek walks. Michael Marseco to 2nd. Pitcher Change: Brendan Lafferty replaces Tyler Sample. Khristopher Davis reaches on fielding error by shortstop Deivy Batista. Michael Marseco to 3rd. Joseph Paciorek to 2nd. Chris Dennis grounds out to first baseman Fernando Cruz. Looks like Richardson was caught committing a cardinal baserunning sin, trying to advance on a grounder hit in front of him: Wisconsin Top 9th D' Vontrey Richardson doubles (3) on a line drive to left fielder Carlo Testa. Joseph Paciorek reaches on a fielder's choice out, shortstop Deivy Batista to first baseman Joey Lewis to third baseman Ryan Stovall. D' Vontrey Richardson out at 3rd.

Final: Nashville 1, Omaha 0 Nashville Moves To 7-1 With Win Over Omaha NashvilleSounds.com OMAHA, Neb. - The Nashville Sounds topped the division-rival Omaha Royals, 1-0, on Thursday night at Rosenblatt Stadium thanks to a Brendan Katin game-winning sacrifice fly that scored second baseman Eric Farris for the contest's only run in the top of the ninth inning. Nashville improves to 7-1 on the season after sweeping the Iowa Cubs and taking three of four from Omaha over the four-game series. Starter Marco Estrada was brilliant again for the Sounds, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The right-hander has shutout the opposition through his first 13 innings as a member of the Brewers organization, but has only received one run of support in his first two starts. Reliever Chris Smith shut the door for his PCL-leading fifth save after throwing a scoreless ninth frame. Right-hander Mike McClendon (1-0) added another scoreless inning, throwing a perfect eighth in relief to earn the win. Farris singled to center field to begin the top of the ninth inning. The speedy second baseman moved to second base on a Trent Oeltjen sacrifice, went to third on a Greg Holland wild pitch, and then scored the game-winning run on a Katin sacrifice fly Outfielder Norris Hopper's third inning two-out single was the Sounds only hit through the first seven frames off Omaha starter Bruce Chen. Erick Almonte snapped out of a 0-for-10 slump to record the Sounds other hit in the eighth inning off Holland. Chen earned a no-decision for the Royals after the left-hander surrenderd one hit with two walks and six strikeouts over seven shutout innings. Holland (0-1) took the loss after allowing one run on three hits in two innings. The Sounds travel home to Music City to begin their season-opening eight-game homestand, facing off against the division-rival Iowa Cubs on Friday night at 6:35 pm CT, which Nashville swept last week in Iowa. Nashville box score Unsurprisingly for a game in which the Sounds put only six men on base, there's not much to point out beyond the recap. New guys Estrada and Chuck Lofgren are working out pretty well so far, eh? Before Farris in the 9th, neither team had a runner reach third base. Would you believe Bruce Chen is only 33? Final: Brevard County 3, Dunedin 2 (10 innings) Brevard County box score Great win for the Manatees, who were down 2-0 going into the bottom of the 9th. Dan Merklinger started and pitched five solid innings, allowing two runs on four hits and a 6/1 K/BB. Seems like, apart from the disaster starts, we've seen a lot of good K/BB ratios from Brewers starters to begin the year; maybe that's just confirmation bias, though. Lucas Luetge, Buddy Flores, and Corey Frerichs combined to toss five innings of shutout ball to allow BC to come from behind for the win. Leading the charge offensively were Josh Prince, 2-4 with a stolen base (natch) in his season debut, and Juan Sanchez, 2-4 with a double and the game-winning RBI. Brock Kjeldgaard had a huge two-out, two-run single with the game on the precipice, and Sergio Miranda was 1-2 with two sac bunts. Brevard County play-by-play The 9th and 10th inning rallies: Brevard County Bottom 9th Pitcher Change: Matt Daly replaces B. J. LaMura. Juan Sanchez doubles (2) on a line drive to left fielder Brian Van Kirk. Josh Prince singles on a line drive to center fielder Bradley McElroy. Juan Sanchez to 3rd. Sergio Miranda out on a sacrifice bunt, pitcher Matt Daly to first baseman Michael McDade. Josh Prince to 2nd. Erik Komatsu strikes out swinging. Brock Kjeldgaard singles on a ground ball to left fielder Brian Van Kirk. Juan Sanchez scores. Josh Prince scores. Erik Miller flies out to right fielder Welinton Ramirez. Brevard County Bottom 10th Pitcher Change: Daniel DeLucia replaces Matt Daly. Anderson De La Rosa walks. Offensive Substitution: Pinch runner Brent Brewer replaces Anderson De La Rosa. Martin Maldonado reaches on force attempt, throwing error by pitcher Daniel DeLucia. Brent Brewer to 3rd. Martin Maldonado to 2nd. Daniel DeLucia intentionally walks Matt Cline. Juan Sanchez singles on a fly ball to right fielder Welinton Ramirez. Brent Brewer scores. Martin Maldonado to 3rd. Matt Cline to 2nd.

Was Gennett shaken up on a play at second? Ryan Gennett walks. Khristopher Davis grounds into double play, shortstop Deivy Batista to second baseman Gerard Hall to first baseman Fernando Cruz. Ryan Gennett out at 2nd. Burlington Bottom 3rd Defensive Substitution: Joseph Paciorek replaces second baseman Ryan Gennett, batting 2nd, playing third base. Defensive switch from third base to second base for Peter Fatse.
