  1. Anyone catch some of Lou's pregame comments? Absolutely priceless as he addressed his club "...relax, you're going to get a paycheck win or lose..., so relax and have some fun." Good stuff.
  2. I love watching these Cub pregame shows on Comcast. They just can't get over that called 3rd strike last night from Turnbow. It's quite comical actually.
  3. I dont think Lou skipping the post game crap is a big deal, I mean, whats he gonna say? I think the point the radio show hosts were trying to get across is that regardless of who the managers were in the past and regardless of all the tough seasons and losses that piled up, no manager has ever missed a post game throughout. Now Sweet Lou is skipping the post game just 3.5 weeks into his first Cubs season. Kinda having fun with it you know, ha ha.
  4. Anyone, by chance, catch Lou's post game conference last night? This has been a point of contention all day in sportstalk radio down here in FIB nation. A lot of contention about Lou not doing a post game last night. They were saying that it is the first time anyone can remember a Cubs Manager skipping the post game and the feelings of many show hosts on 670 the SCORE in Chicago ran from amusement to mild anger. An another note the 2 pm show in Chicago interviewed DM. It was a rather impersonal look at the team and his vision as a GM in general, how he builds teams around the ballpark as much as the payroll.
  5. Alright we have reached the 50+ page mark, we can all go to bed now...where's Lou Palsmo?
  6. Tough frame coming up for CV here.
  7. Billy why are you bunting? I guess I cannot fault the guy for trying.
  8. I just hope CV has the arm strength to go a few innings if he has too.
  9. Nice way to start your pro career, BB.
  10. Well Elmer I guess that's a start...
  11. I am ready for one of Bush's buckle down games tomorrow. The brew can take him down.
  12. Yah, good win. Nail biting and I am down to nubbs, but good nonetheless.
  13. Huh? Base on Balls coming around to score? That never happens.
  14. Do we have to go over this again, there really were no other pitchers available except Dessens and Shouse or if need be CV who had pitched the day before and Dessens and CV have both had plenty of problems of their own this year. So the question remains...why the heck did Yost have CoCo warming up in the 8th?
  15. Wow I didn't notice that although Cappy doesn't seem right on he has only given up 3 hits. Must be the walks.
  16. Curious to see what Ned does with Cappy here. Whatever it is, it is sure to be the wrong decision.
  17. If I'm Garner I start out with a bunt up 3rd to Graff.
  18. What do you know, the roof's open. Here's hoping our warning track power becomes HR power.
  19. Spring Training is where you give people chances, AAA is where you give people chances. Up to this year Yost could even afford to give people chances, but when 83 wins you the division and the World Series you want the guy who gives you the best chance to win the game. Not the guy you HOPE wins the game, the guy who you think gives you the best chance.
