  1. I honestly don't give a rip about Rickie's confidence. Ned needs to stay focused on the prize and most likely his job. He did the right thing by putting in the player that he thought would get the job done and it actually paid off. Had he left him in there just as many posters would be ripping him for not pinch hitting. It really is a battle that Ned cannot win.
  2. Harold Reynolds brought very little to the table. And what my friend do Kruk, Vina, or Young bring to the table that Reynolds lacked so much of? I really don't mind Steve Phillips all that much, but in the end they all make some incorrect assumptions because they don't see but a few at bats unlike most of brew nation.
  3. I would be shocked if Fielder's body held up long enough to catch up to ARod who will have the record by that point hopefully. Players with the short stocky frame just don't tend to have long careers. Fielder's dad did manage a 13 year career with what in my mind looked to be a much worse body, but he would still have to be blessed with good health and maybe some PED's.
  4. Am I really seeing this unravel in front of me?
  5. I know I am not very intelligent when it comes to baseball, but is there any real reason why Capuano is still in there? His arm strength can't be the best and seeing as how the AS break is coming can't the crew empty the bench?
  6. Even the usual junk is getting crushed.
  7. What are the chances of Suppan finding his control over the all-star break?
  8. Yikes Rickie, get it under control, please.
  9. No interest other than hoping the Brewers participating don't get injured.
  10. Umm, please don't let this get out of hand...
  11. That picture of Ray King on Gameday is something else. He looks like he is starting a slow progression into Jabba the Hut.
  12. Damaso Marte, please. I couldn't agree more, and very gettable by the deadline I am sure. I just get worried that if we wait that long he won't be there anymore.
  13. May be a non issue as radar looks pretty good right now.
  14. Not to take this way off topic, but that wasn't really the reason they built it where they did. Nor did I say it was. I like the park where it is as access is excellent. On another note- The Crew plays one more series down in Chicago later this year and I would be willing to go downtown and assist BFnetters enjoy their trip a bit more. The key is to do as little driving as possible. Come up with a game plan and you will find yourself having a much better time. If anyone is interested let me know or maybe we can start a forum topic to coordinate.
  15. I guess I enjoy Wrigley for what it is and for its atmosphere. If you are just there for the game you are really missing out as that is what brings the Cubs fans if you will to the game win or lose, becuase it's not the product. Some fans are knowledgeable, many are not but that's no different than Crew fans. Preplan or get advice from other your FIB Brew fans to make the trip more enjoyable. Never park downtown take the train becuase you can often drink onboard. As previously mentioned the Crew fanbase is far from galant. There were many out in Wrigleyville Sat night and they took their liberty trying to hit on my girl and some of her friends (I can't really blame them) and laughed as she put them in their place. But anyway trying to compare a 100yr old park built in downtown of the country's biggest cities to Miller Park which is built right off the freeway is a bit of a stretch. There was actually talk of trying to build the park downtown Milwaukee years ago if I remember, but the parking issue is something that could never be overcome. I will be at Wrigley for the Giants series to get my chance at the ROID ball and will moon everyone when the yell at me to throw it back.
  16. I can't help but think that Prince's in the park job the other day garnered him a few votes.
  17. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j63/takeuaway/yogaflame3.jpg Go get 'em Yo!
  18. Most everyone on here is hunky dorey about the loss because it is a successful road trip, but today's game, like any other game only counts for one loss. If we were getting killed on this road trip there would be a calling out of Ned Yost again. Well since I am not a Ned apologist or necessarily dislike the guy let's just do a quick analysis of the final inning. Game is on the line: Gardenhire puts in Nathan (his best bullpen arm) Yost puts in Spurling... Note the results. Again I probably like Ned more than most people on here, but still feel that was a poor decision. You have to manage for every win you can get.
  19. I guess I don't understand why you would want this guy pitching with the game on the line, but what do I know?
  20. Awesome...Lew Ford giveth and Lew Ford taketh away!!!
  21. Honestly, lew ford. The guy is a bum, but he tears up the crew.
  22. let's compare Hall's AB against Estrada's.
