Ozzie has had Mark Kotsay, hes THAT Mark Kotsay bat 5th all year. He also has been leading off Juan Pierre most of the year and Andruw Jones lead off last night. Please no Ozzie.

He was giving up more then a "few" rockets. And I don't think a defense up the middle of Felipe Lopez and Skip Schumaker is gonna save him.

Giving him more at bats. I think I'd let him get a few more starts against tough righties over Edmonds if they choose to go that route. I guess I'm pretty bearish on Gomez at this point, I can't stand his approach at the plate right now.But what does it hurt? He is 24. Let him play and see if we have something.

I don't see what can be learned by putting Gomez into the lead-off spot that can't be learned from putting him in the bottom of the order. The same goes for Escobar.Giving him more at bats.

Since we obviously are not making the playoffs, why not just lead Gomez off and see what happens? If he struggles and doesnt draw any walks, who cares? Just like with Parra lets just keep throwing him out there and see if he sticks

This is why we gave Randy Wolf the type of money in the off season, to pitch these big games. Ok just kidding. Don't get destroyed Milwaukee please. (And Macha better start Hart and Gomez)

Agreed on the Morneau statment from Ender. Morneau has a career line of .284/.357/.489/.867 While very solid, not elite. He has never OPS'd over .950 in a season. Doesn't walk as much as he should either. (However he is on a great pace right now) -
This would be a good time to get Lucroy some action as well, I would stick around to watch that at least.
