  1. I know facing major league pitching isn't easy and all players swing at bad pitches once in a while. However, it sure seems like we either get ourselves out or behind in the count by swinging at really, really bad pitches in just about every at bat. Those at bats to JJ and Corey were just awful. I don't think he threw more than one strike in those two at bats combined. Then Kendall struck out on a pitch that wasn't close.
  2. There are 3. 27. Milwaukee .249 28. Tampa Bay .247 29. Washington .245 30. Cincinnati .241
  3. It is idiotic to say Yost blew it by not bringing in Turnbow ... it is very rare for any major league manager to bring in a closer on the road in a tie game ... not to say that it never happens, but saying that it is an obvious move to bring in the closer in that situation is simply not correct. HOWEVER ... I have no idea why we would not walk Garciaparra. THAT was an idiotic move.
  4. I agree Mcgruder sucks, but the biggest problem was leaving Branyan in there. Bases loaded, no one out, down by 2 in the 8th inning, Branyan is batting .053 against lefties. We still had Hardy and Helms on the bench. How can anyone possibly justify that?
