I'm not too excited about this pending Aquino-Cabrera matchup. I'd say the chances for Cabrera getting on base is about 90%. EDIT: I eat my words, Aquino did a nice job that inning.

This guy throws a hard straight fastball. We need to get to this guy.
  3. jloos19
Hopefully Hall pulls a Braun this inning and smacks a homer. However, for some reason I severely doubt it.

Whhaaaatt?? Aaron Boone is on the Marlins??
  5. jloos19
Wow, that was a really nice play by Weeks.
  6. jloos19
This Hall experiment in center field really isn't working too well.
  7. jloos19
Wow, good job guys! What is that, 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position tonight?
  8. jloos19
Could Bill Hall make any more dumb mistakes to start the season?
  9. jloos19
Gwynn in center so we have a real lead-off hitter. Why, because he's fast? Carl Lewis used to be fast too, but he could get on base as much as Gwynn. Hall or Jenkins traded when hot for good pitching. I hope you're joking, so I won't even respond to that possibility.

Alright, ends up with the same result. We're lucky that wasn't a double play, though.

Alright, now we get to see Suppan's supposedly excellent ability to get a bunt down. EDIT: Why the hell isn't he bunting here?
  12. jloos19
Geoff Jenkins is a monster. Opposite field shot, too.
  13. jloos19
I would have that pitch for a home run as well.

I don't know if it was mentioned, but Nolasco is now on the DL and some dude from the Netherlands will be starting in his major league debut tomorrow night. You know what that means...
  15. jloos19
That was just bad luck, Willingham got jammed really badly.

I forgot how frustrating following a baseball team intensely is.
  17. jloos19
Rickie! That was a triple off the bat with Weeks running.

    Uh oh... Broxton once again...

Wow, actually a nice play there by Counsell... but that was definitely a bit of luck. Suppan pitched 7 with only 2 runs which is excellent, but there were a ton of hard hit balls so I don't feel completely satisfied with his outing, although I can't say I'm complaining. EDIT: And by luck I mean for Suppan, not for Counsell making that play.

craig is connecting from the way it sounds... just no luck That was a really weak grounder to first, so not there. Plus it was first pitch hacking, not that first pitch hacking is a big thing, but it's Craig Counsell.
  21. jloos19
Even Grady Little knows that Counsell sucks.
  22. jloos19
Jenkins with a nice swing there. That makes the Hall pickoff even more frustrating.
  23. jloos19
Bill Hall is the most frustratingly good player ever.
  24. jloos19
I would say that was the first truly frustrating moment of the season. Welcome to baseball!
  25. jloos19
Hopefully Yost will eventually realize that Counsell cannot hit at all.
