  1. Days like today make me wonder we ever left the AL Central. I can't wait to start playing some regular teams for a change. The Cardinals, Barry Bonds, and the Astros really leave you shell-shocked. Even I can use a day off from baseball tomorrow. My head is still spinning.
  2. Now that Obermueller is in the game, Matt Kinney is virtually a lock to start on Thursday against Brandon Webb and the Diamondbacks. This really really stinks.
  3. I am no pitching coach, but it seemed that Capuano did not have good velocity in the early part of the game during his last start. But after a few innings, his fastball showed more life and he was very effective. I am wondering if he needs to warm up a little more before the start of the game. Let's see what happens today.
  4. Nice to get some solid pitching the last two days. Good job by the bullpen too.
  5. Sheets is out. Is he hurt? This doesn't look good.
  6. Craig Counsell really really works the count. I am starting to get impressed by his approach. I think it is rubbing off on the rest of the team. Maybe Ned Yost knew what he was doing by batting Counsell second. He leads the team in walks. Nice.
  7. BREWERS WIN !! But it's too bad Jeff Bennet's career has been ruined since he didn't get to pitch to Bonds. It's such a tragedy to see a young promising career go to waste.. I have mixed feelings about not being swept today. Was it really worth it to win this game?? I don't think so. I would rather be 4-6 with an angry fan base and a lot of empty seats. Winning is not important at the big league level. http://ideaspot.net/mlb/NL_Central/small/brewers1-sm.gif
  8. It's a shame that they walked Bonds and got the next guy to fly out. Jeff Bennet was robbed of a good learning experience there. They should have let Bonds go deep again and tie the game. I really worry about Bennet's development as a pitcher now. His future has been scarred.
  9. Davis looked like Wayne Franklin or Glendon Rusch out there today. It was like watching a terrible flashback.
  10. Mike Maddux should have been out there to talk to Doug Davis before he faced Berkman. Wake up coaching staff.
  11. BREWERS WIN !!! Feeling good heading into the home opener. http://ideaspot.net/mlb/NL_Central/small/brewers1-sm.gif
  12. I hate the fact that his error gave new life to the Cardinals. He better do something with the bat to make up for it. Wow, I guess Spivey must have read my message. Nice to know he visits brewerfan.net http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  13. CUT SPIVEY NOW! What a bum! I hate the fact that his error gave new life to the Cardinals. He better do something with the bat to make up for it.
  14. Wow. Brady Clark just hit another one. Ned Yost is looking good today today for putting him in the lineup.
  15. I love the fact that the Brewers are working the count and getting on base. I just wish we would drive in more of those runs instead of stranding so many guys on the bases. I feel like we should have a lot more runs in this series.
  16. 8-4 Cardinals. It was nice while it lasted.
  17. For whatever reason, I think Keith Ginter would match up better against Woody Williams than Wes Helms. Williams has some nasty stuff and I think Ginter's compact stroke would give him a better chance to be successful. If I am Yost, I give Helms a day off and let Ginter have a start. Uh, never mind. Helms just got his third hit of the game. Silly me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

  19. TWO AND OH !! Oh my god that was ugly. http://ideaspot.net/mlb/NL_Central/small/brewers1-sm.gif
  20. It would be cool if Spivey goes deep tonight. The Milwaukee Diamondbacks are putting on quite a show. Doug Melvin's gotta have a big smile on his face tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  21. Jenkins with an RBI triple in the top of the third 3-2 crew. I got nervous because I was worried there would be a play at third and that Jenkins would have to slide. I am glad he didn't have to. Gotta keep him healthy.
  22. BREWERS WIN !! http://ideaspot.net/mlb/NL_Central/small/brewers1-sm.gif
  23. A few quick comments . . . Ben Ford looks very composed and relaxed on the mound. He didn't panic with the runners on base. Kudos to Yost for putting in Brady Clark to play defense in right field. He made a difficult catch in the corner. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/2004/04/02/sYosatbJ.gif
  24. Podsednik with a clutch blast !! Sophomore Of The Year !!! http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/2004/04/02/sYosatbJ.gif
  25. Ben Grieve with a dinger. 4-1 Brewers http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/2004/04/02/sYosatbJ.gif
