It sure isn't underrated by the average baseball announcer.And maybe they should sit quietly with their hands folded? A good majority of players are out at home there.

Nice work by Gomez to score on that dribbler by McGehee. Plays like that make me think about how speed is underrated in the box score.

A little off topic, but the Pirate announcers were talking about how bad the Astro's offense has been this year. How about this for a team offensive line for the season .220/.249/.299.

ESPN was talking about how great Haren was last night too because he was able to stick it out for 6 innings last night. Haren is good, but not last night. Nice triple by Escobar!

Zaun is that bad that they would walk Hart to get to him in the 4th inning of a 2-0 ballgame? Even if that was the case, congrats to Hart for being able to take an unintentional intentional walk.

Joe Morgan to Reds as Special Advisor

Morgan wasn't hired to make baseball decisions or help manage the team, he was hired to "support and assist in the development of the club's community outreach and diversity initiatives while participating in the efforts of the Reds Community Fund and Reds Hall of Fame." So don't get your hopes up too high. -
That Rick Monday play isn't even top 10 in my opinion. I could have done that.

I was just coming here to post about this. It's especially frustrating in the IGT where the posts move quickly. See this IGT where on page 2 I somehow congratulate Counsell on his grandslam before he even comes to bat and on page 3 where I quote and answer Teatoe's question before he even asks it.

Where does this notion come from that Jim Edmonds has lost his touch in the field? He has been all over the place so far this year. Maybe it's just good positioning, but he hasn't really botched or misplayed anything obvious so far (from the games I've watched).
