  1. Revived my old brewerfan.net profile to join the party. Don't have much to add, but I am happy for all the old heads as well as the new fans. Celebrate! It's happening.
  2. JJ is seems like such a great guy and it has been a journey to follow his career. When a guy gets drafted by the Brewers and then spends a good amount of time playing for the Brewers, it's special. I hope he dominates in Texas and maybe he will wind up back in Milwaukee at a later date. No doubt he gets a nice ovation whenever his next appearance at Miller Park happens to be.
  3. You are overemphasizing Jeffress' substance issues. Jeffress failed his last drug test in 2009. By his own admission he was using to deal with epilepsy. The Blue Jays made him get treatment, found a better medication for him and subjected him to extra drug tests. By all accounts the marijuana use is far in the past with Jeffress. I agree with the rest of your assessment on this trade, but it's been over 7 years since his last drug test. I feel like he has that under control. He knows what will happen if he fails another test.
  4. According to McCalvy, Lucroy is out of the lineup again today, so obviously Stearns wants to get this done with someone.
  5. I was doing some spring cleaning and came upon these old shirts. They are marked as "L" for large and tend more towards a medium size. I think I wore the "3TO" shirt once to a spring training game back in the day. I don't think I ever wore the "Woah Solvvd" shirt (although I tried to get Lou Palmisano to sign it for me). They do look very slightly yellowed from sitting in the closest. Back of "Woah Solvvd" says "BF.net: It's a revolution of the mind". Asking $10 each and $3 S&H. Would prefer to sell as a pair. Paypal preferred. PM me. Bahh, I'm struggling with imbedding images. Just follow this link.http://imgur.com/a/3Iqx7
  6. I just broke down and renewed MLB.TV for another year. Tuned in just in time to see a sweet RBI from ARam. Go Crew.
  7. It's the 8th inning, so still in the bullpen. Getting ahead of myself. A few too many tonight.
  8. It was fun listening to Counsell finally get excited. OOOOOOOOO! And thanks to Jamey Wright for making up for those years with the Brewers.
  9. I've listened to the last three games on the radio and I'm sort of mixed on Hamilton. He's sort of like a "Rock" for the radio booth only less gushy about Wisconsin and the Brewers and slightly more analytical. He's an older school baseball guy, which is I think brings good and bad. I like when he talks straight from his baseball experience and when he brings out the stories from his past. I like that he can talk OG Brewers baseball. I like that he brings the hitters/fielders mindset when he analyzes any particular play. I like that he has on occasion forced Joe to have an actual personality instead of just being a monotone play-by-play guy. What I didn't like is that he seems very fresh in the booth. I don't know what his radio experience is previously, but he comes off as not being entirely comfortable with radio. He's stumbled over some reads, blocked the occasional play-by-play call, and given off a "what does this button do" vibe. The other thing I don't like about Darryl is that he can be a little too old school, specifically about certain stats. I really wish I could remember specific examples, but there were a few times I looked at my radio and thought "did he just say that"? I love Rock, so there is definitely hope for me warming up to Darryl. The biggest take-away I got from the last 3 games I listened to was that I just NEED to have Uecker. I was listening to Joe Block do a live read for some product, and I sat there and considered how great Uecker's live reads are. Uecker shills a lot of products over the radio for WTMJ, and I've never once doubted the greatness of those products.
  10. He had one on March 31st though, so I think he "only" has 12 in April. I was quoting MLB Network on that stat. I've never seen a Brewers team clicking this well. The eternally pessimistic Brewer fan in me is completely baffled. I love it and it's setting up to be a great season.
  11. K-Rod just tied a major league record for saves in April at 13.
  12. I agree with Dave Cameron, this is the best bullpen of all time. 20 WINS IN APRIL!!!!!!!!!
  13. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little surprised we're winning this game right now.
  14. I think it was a pretty good 'no challenge' on RR's part. From the WGN replays from the 1st base side it looked liked the tag was applied. I do agree with you that, especially when the defense makes the last out of an inning, there seem to be less challenges.
