  1. sheets should of done the lineup introduction, hart doesn't seem like the funniest cat around
  2. Thats interesting, generally the D-list hosts support Yost no matter what, sometimes Needles criticizes but Johnson and Olson seem to always support Ned. No matter what, we are not hitting at all and our starting pitching has been less than spectacular. The starting pitchers have had only 2 starts of 2 runs or less since April 20th...those 2 being...Suppan vs Philly gave up 1 run on April 24th and Gallardo vs Marlins gave up 0 runs on April 25th, ironically, we lost both games.
  3. this strike zone is tiny.........ball 1 and 3 to Derosa were both strikes
  4. Was the crowd just trying to chant 'brewers suck' ? If so, couldn't they have picked a better time to chant such a thing? Ahh..good old incompetent cubs fans
  5. This is by far the best string of AB's I have seen this season, Cameron through Hall......all REALLY good at-bats.
  6. I wish the results of the past half inning would reflect on the roster decision for Tuesday
  7. Yost has been pretty good so far, but that can only last so long...yosted.
  8. Hart HAS to have a better AB than last time up
  9. Nobody has been on hart for that play? That should of been an out..he had plenty of time to get back to the wall, but seemed to take his time a bit, then just totally misjudged the ball.
  10. 31 pitches without recording an out to start an inning, 45 total for the inning and only ends up giving 2 runs in the inning, would that be a record?
  11. Why does it seem like we are a far worse team than our record portrays right now?
  12. Trowekamp - did i take off august? Or did u take off April, May, June, July, and September? 801 runs in 2007, 5th in the national league
  13. This game has been really frustrating, especially because we've had base runners constantly via walks....not that the pitching spot hitting 8th has anything to do with todays lackluster offense (even though bush did come up with 2 on and 2 out his first 2 at bats)and switching braun/fielder... why would we alter our lineup from last year? I don't recall us struggling to score runs...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Since Yost already switched Braun/Fielder back to how they were last year, how long until he puts the pitcher back in the 9 hole?
  14. Ever since the brewers had a spring training game on FSN, i have been asking people if they also think Prince looks considerably fatter than last year. Everyone I have asked has said no, but i see some others here at BF think the same.
  15. Gotta love when Gross is in center, especially when our RF and LF both are better defensively and can cover more ground
  16. This is pretty lame...I had class 2-250 and missed the first few innings, figured i could catch some baseball until my 330 class.....but now nothing but another rain delay and the resume time is 330, the rain gods are screwing me today.
  17. Totally amazed by Bo's approach to this game.....we came out gunning 3's from the get go and never let up, our advantage was most certainly in the paint and we did not exploit that at all. I don't believe Butch posted up once..and Laundry/Krabbenhoft only did a time or 2. The biggest mistake, however, was not trying to isolate Stephen Curry on defense, we absolutely should have tried to get him in foul trouble early. Took 46 shots in the game, and exactly half (23) were 3's. That is not the recipe for success against a team like Davidson
  18. If this is the case, the Arctic Blast is basically the first time individual tickets will be on sale? Or is there still a specific date that tickets will go on sale like in the past?
  19. I think what happens tonight will dictate how the cubs will finish. As we have seen...this team really goes as zambrano goes. When he was struggling in August the cubs cooled off...now that hes pitching good again, they are heating back up ( the addition of a healthy soriono has a lot to do with it as well) However, I think if he has a blowup start tonight..which he is certainly capable of... it could end up being more influential then just 1 loss in the overall outcome of this pennant chase. So lets all hope zambrano loses his head and starts flippin the bird at his home crowd.
  20. What is with this team? Maybe its because i want them to lose every time they are down, so every time they are down and come back and win it stands out more....but lately it seems like they have been winning a TON of close games and games late with clutch hitting or maybe just bad opposing pitching. This is becoming increasingly frustrating to watch because it seems like they are winning a lot of games that they shouldn't. At any rate, i officially and literally hate the cubs.
  21. seriously....can we please just put together a game like we did against the cubs @ wrigley on fox back in june? desperately need a laugher.
  22. cannot stand watching estrada bat.....atleast he walks a lot and never swings at the first pitch.
  23. It is completely disgusting how incapable this team is at manufacturing runs. Just shows what will happen if we do indeed reach the post-season and have to face aaron harang quality pitchers in cold october weather (probably doesnt help that yost doesnt even attempt to manufacture runs). Does anyone else remember when Carlos Villanueva was our extra inning expert? Granted (no pun intended) he struggled in his last outting, I still certainly have more confidence in him then Grant Balfour....and if Yosts reason for not bringing him in is incase we have a blowup start tomorrow, hes an idiot. Just another thought...Johnny Estrada shows exactly why OBP is a much more important stat than batting avg.
  24. "Yeah, pinch hitting Graffanino didn't work out at all. " It did work out for one game...possibly not the long run though. I also was dissapointed to see weeks get pinch hit for....If his wrist feels fine as he says it does along with everyone else in the brewers organization then his head must be whats messed up. Pinch hitting for weeks in that situation only destroys his confidence even more. I am all for giving him a chance to work out of this. What would we rather have in october: weeks playing like he did last year..hitting .290+ and flying around the bases or a counsell/graffy platoon hitting a combined .250.
