  1. Hopefully the Tigers will fall in love with the possibly dominant Stubbs/Maybin OF down the road and give me my boy Clayton. Have you heard anything on Stubbs' value rising/falling? Glad to hear that Morrow's slider has some potential, as he cant live on the fastball/splittie alone. I'd prefer him over Jeffress at #7 if Kershaw's gone. Also, when's your next piece in PGCC coming out? I read the Lincecum interview and am looking forward to more content.
  2. I'm hoping the Tiggers go with Stubbs, to pair him with Maybin. If Kershaw's gone, I'd actually prefer Morrow. Is his slider even worth mentioning, or does it have the potential of being a plus pitch?
  3. I think LaPorta is going to be a huge steal for whoever takes a shot on him (And Boras). If it wasnt for Boras, he should go in the first despite his poor season. I'm still on Johnson's bandwagon and hope the Dodgers take a flier on him in rounds 10-15, hoping they could buy him away from FSU.
  4. Another pin into my CJ voodoo doll... You really think the Royals will pass on Miller? PGCC is saying that KC is really only debating how much they'll have to spend to get him signed, not whether or not they'll take him. And if Kershaw doesnt end up a Dodger, I blame you.
  5. CJ, I love the fact that SOMEBODY gives the Dodgers Kershaw...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Kevin Mulvey at #26? And Callis' reasoning makes him seem like he was under the influence of a controlled substance. They cant reach for a position player when the most polished prep hitter in the draft goes the pick after them? Interesting... Oh, and you cant take Snider, cuz he needs to be there for the Dodgers at #26. Go with King Conger .
  6. Oh, the Dodgers cant draft Reynolds now. His favorite team is the Giants!
  7. I just dont see White taking the 5th or 6th best college pitcher when the best or second best prep pitcher is on the board. That's his basic philosophy; taking a guy others ignore because of his age. I can only hope that Reynolds or Hochevar looks more attractive with the Tiggers possibly being in the running for their division (They're tied for first now). Maybe they'd want a kid who could feasibly help out of the pen by season's end. But that's just me being blindly optimistic.
  8. Not sure how thrilled Brewer fans are with that pick, but I can speak for a lot of Dodger fans in saying they'd be very disappointed with Reynolds at #7. Do me a favor and give us Kershaw in your next mock, CJ. I'll love you forever. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  9. Kiker throws across his body with a good amount of effort. Not very appealing to me. I'd rather take Colton Willems at #31 (Assuming the Dodgers take a pitcher at #7 and a hitter at #26).
  10. Kiker's not exactly Gio Gonzalez. Gonzo was my fav prospect in '04 (Behind Homer Bailey) and Gio's delivery was very smooth. Kiker's is very violent. He has a better fastball, though. I'd prefer Willems at #31 (For the Dodgers).
  11. Interesting. Not his biggest fan but you cant ignore his stuff.
  12. Just want to mention that I'm a big fan of Clayton Kershaw, mostly for his makeup, and that I hope the Dodgers get a chance at drafting him.
  13. That's awesome, CJ. Though I'm not sure Jeffress is a great fit for a Logan White type pitcher. By your own admission, JJ doesnt have much to offer in the way of secondary offerings. White likes kids who can throw a breaking ball with some consistency. That makes me think that a guy like Brett Anderson or even Kyle Drabek would be the choice over a hard-thrower like JJ. Oh, and Conger would complete that homegrown infield for the BrewCrew. Impressive kid.
  14. Thanks for the mock, CJ. I know Kevin Goldstein connected the Dodgers with Jeffress about a week and a half ago; have you heard the two mentioned together elsewhere? Also, any chance that you could go to #31 in your next mock? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. If you two go, I'll try to make it as well.
  16. So, while his slider is inconsistent, it shows the potential of being a plus pitch? I can live with that. Thanks, CJ.
  17. CJ, how would you rate Jeffress' brekaing ball on the 20-80 scale? Also, does he throw a third pitch? Thanks.
  18. The draft order has the Nats picking 26th and the Dodgers getting the Angels 2nd round pick. Shouldnt the Dodgers get the Angels first, since Weaver was a Type A and Carrasco was a Type B? Also, are the subscription prices yearly?
  19. Colton Willems finishes his season with 84 K's in 42 IP with only 5 Walks. CJ, please tell me there's at least an outside shot of him being there at #26.
  20. Nevermind. Read the blurb under the list. It would be a coup for the Dodgers to pick up Kershaw and Latos, along with a prep hitter like Snider or Parmelee.
  21. Cody Johnson's final line for the regular season: .524 BA (33-63), "Roughly" .681 OBP (26 Walks and 5 HBP), 1.24 SLG (6 Doubles and 13 HR). That's a 1.931 OPS. And he struck out only 7 times. Seems to me like he's put himself in a position to go in the Top 20.
  22. Perfect. Thanks yet again, NWFB.
  23. Awesome. Was his arm action over the top or lower, like 3/4?
  24. Kershaw's rise + Drabek's character concerns = Kershaw being the pick at #7. Nice to see he's throwing a circle change in that photo. Guess I'll have to get the Jordan Walden tattoo removed and replace it with Clayton Kershaw. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Oh, and if the Dodgers could pull off Parmalee and Willems in their next two picks, I may die of happiness.
  25. I wouldnt call Jackson a finesse guy, since he sits around 90, but Kershaw has been 91-94 all spring. Any word on his delivery, CJ?
