  1. Thanks again NWFB. I'm also interested in knowing how his throws look and if he raises his arm at all.
  2. When are your new rankings coming out, CJ?
  3. Thanks again for all the info. I'd be interested to know how Cody looks playing the OF if you see him there.
  4. Unbelievable luck. I've been excited about him for the past several months. How has he looked in the field? Has he been playing 1B and OF? One more than the other? I hope you dont mind playing scout. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Wow, he's really come on of late. Do you actually go to the games, NFWB?
  6. PG's Who's Hot list corroborates the stats that NFWB has provided on Cody Johnson. Seems he's found that HR stroke. Colby, do you think Johnson will climb back into the top half of the first come draft time, or do you think he'll be in the bottom half no matter what stats he puts up?
  7. In '04 they werent really concerned about signing any of their early picks. I think Elbert held out a little longer than the others but he signed relatively quickly. They also took Jeff Larish, who declined over $600k to return to the draft in '05 and signed for $200k. I know Price had already established himself as a top prepster, but I was still pleased that White drafted him. I didnt realize he threw so hard. Sounds better than Miller...
  8. Thanks NWFBaseball06. Keep those Johnson updates coming! They're much appreciated.
  9. 97 K's in just under 60 IP for Price, just unbelievable. Not to toot my own horn, but Price was the first draft prospect I ever really followed (Due to his size and left-handedness). I was ecstatic to see that Logan White drafted him, even if he had little intent of signing him. Now it looks like he could be the first overall pick next year. What can you tell me about Price's stuff, CJ?
  10. Funny that you use those comparisons, CJ, as I've compared the talent in this year's draft with 2004 and come up with about the same types of comps. I actually compared Morrow to Verlander due to their control issues in college and great fastballs. But the two drafts are eerily similar. I just hope the Dodgers can land a Homer Bailey type at #7. And if you ever feel like doing a mock draft, let me know. I'd love to be in on it.
  11. Wow, thanks for those stats. Now he probably wont last until the Dodgers pick at 26...
  12. Knucklecurve. And thanks for mentioning the Hot List, CJ. Good to see Cody Johnson winning another HR derby. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. More Miller time domination: 7 IP, 4 Hits, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K's Wow.
  14. I'm anxious to see how Andrew Miller does tomorrow vs Florida State. After absolutely shutting down Georgia Tech, I expect big things from him against the Seminoles.
  15. And THANK YOU for posting the Who's Hot list. I love that thing. Cody Johnson beat ML players in a HR contest? Hehe. Disappointed that Snider isnt on there.
  16. "You may want to change your focus from Johnson to Snider Gagne... " I was going to call you a blasphemer but I read the article and the guy who wrote it has the same last name as me. I'll give this kid a shot... And the fact that BA.com ranked Snider as one of the best pure HS hitters makes me think Logan White would be interested in him. Thanks for bringing him up.
  17. So you're saying there's a good chance that CJ will be there at the end of round 1? Are you doing this just to tease me with the possibility of getting him? Btw, hope you, the wife and kid are doing well.
  18. Hey CJ. Nice to see the Top 30's been updated. You said Cody Johnson is still struggling. Where do you find the HS players' stats?
  19. BA has a draft update up and they mention Colton Willems getting off to a hot start. Through 12 innings, he's struck out 29 batters without allowing a hit. He's a guy I've been following for some months now and I'm hoping he'll be there for the Dodgers at 26 or 31. But if he keeps pitching like this, I doubt he'll last that long.
  20. According to BA's college weekend preview, Chamberlain wont be pitching this weekend. He experienced some tightness in his arm during a bullpen and is being held out of this weekend's action. On the bright side, Matt LaPorta should return to Florida's lineup after missing 10 games with a strained oblique. www.baseballamerica.com/t...eview.html
  21. Congratulations ColbyJack! Best wishes to you, Mrs ColbyJack and BabyJack! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  22. Another dominant outing for Andrew Miller today: 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 11 K's In 2 starts (13 IP) he's struck out 20 and walked 2.
  23. CSTV.com (Great source for live scoring) had an article up on a kid named Matt Mangini. He's a Soph 3B for NC State and is presently hitting .690/.741/.1.119 through 11 games. I know he's not draft eligible but he's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Here's the article: www.cstv.com/sports/m-bas...06aap.html
  24. Thanks CJ. He has a video up in BaseballWebTV's member section and I cant stop watching it! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smokin.gif
  25. CJ, do you feel the same way about Chris Parmalee? Will he strictly be a 1B as a pro or could he move to a corner OF spot?
