We should still get a solid pick at #6 eventhough it sucks. Pretty crazy that none of the top 3 actually ended up in the top 3.

Braun just went deep for the Sounds.

I think Vin Scully just compared Pujols and Vlady G to our JJ.

Vin Scully said that Fielder's homer went about 469 feet. That is a shot.

Well good to see the game is over so early. We need to get a win tommorow to have some momentum and then get a series win over the Twins hopefully over the weekend. If not we could be in store for a long losing streak and coming back to the pack quickly in the NL Central.

Can we officially call Damion Easley a Brewer Killer yet?
  7. bthurley19
Well that's a tough one but we were right in it to the end and definitely should give us confidence for the next two to know that we are just as talented and can play with these guys. The terrible call at first really got in Suppan's head a little and that sparked the 4 run rally by the Mets but the thing that angers me is the homer to Damion Easley. I don't know if anyone was watching the Mets broadcast but the announcers already started in by saying this is the Mets not the NL Central, so we should probably brace ourselves for "expert" opinions after this game.

We've got 3 innings left here so lots of time.

Braun's ejection didn't involve any bat throwing did it? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Yo dominant again it appears. Looks like Yo and Braun have already figured out AAA. Can't wait to see these two up with the big club doing the same thing soon.

WIth Parra already being 24 years old, does he move up to AAA pretty soon, since he has pitched 3 very nice games to start the season?
  12. bthurley19
Looks like Braun had a very nice game today with the homer and was involved in I believe 6 defensive plays and had 4 put outs including starting a DP. When Braun gets up here, this lineup is going to give pitchers nightmares.

Guess Cordero figured we wanted some heart attack for lunch.
  14. bthurley19
It has to be frickin Biggio at bat in this situation too.

Turnbow finally gets up in the bullpen.

Way to lose another one Yost.

    JJ!!

Buerhle just finished the No Hitter. Congrats to him. Edit- He also faced the minimum because Sosa got picked off after walking. So as close to a perfect game as possible without actually being perfect.
  19. bthurley19
Stupid Yost, why not put in Aquino, we are finished.
  20. bthurley19
What was Hardy doing, taking a nap at first?
  21. bthurley19
I love the Florida announcers reaction to that play: "LOOOOOOKKKKK OUT!!!"
  22. bthurley19
What happened to Cappy in the top of the 6th? 12 straight balls to load the bases and then a single and he gets pulled. Did he get hurt or is he still getting stretched out for the season?
  23. bthurley19
Webcast is up and running and the first pitches were just thrown out. It's almost game time.

Watching Cold Pizza this morning on ESPN and they have Steve Phillips do an "extreme makeover" of the Devil Rays. One of the blockbuster trades he said he would do was to trade Derrick Turnbow for BJ Upton. When I first heard him propose this I thought good deal for the Brewers but where is would he play. 3B is going to be occupied by Braun very soon and Upton was terrible at SS, not to mention the Crew is more commited to JJ. Still would be nice to obtain a former number one draft pick with great speed for a pitcher who was terrible in the second half last year. Upton's Stats: STATS

Just to expand on colbyjack's last post, last years Woodchucks coach was the head coach at Northland College which is a small division 3 team that belongs to the same conference as the college I'm currently attending. If Gantner has immediate success with the Woodchucks though he could very well get a AA or AAA job as a hitting coach with his background as a former player. Also Darin Everson was probably one of the worst coaches I have ever seen in the game of baseball. He got thrown out of at least 15 games the year he coached and immediately after getting chucked he would come sit in the VIP picnic area where I worked and drink beers for the rest of the night.
