    Sorry to hijack the thread but my excitement has gotten the best of me. MLB 2K8 is coming out for the Wii. Finally a real baseball game on the Wii. Not cartoons, not roided up super heroes, and not Wii Sports. A real baseball simulation game is finally coming out on the Wii. Interestingly enough the trailer for 2K8 is online today. Looks pretty sweet and features our very own Brewers in a couple of the scenes. Unfortunately Braun is featured at 3rd base but he does make a nice throw to Prince to get the out.     Four games on FOX, not bad for a "small market team". Between these four national games, and the 150 or so games FSN is supposedly going to cover, that just about takes care of the whole season. Good to see the media recognize that the Brewers are an up and coming exciting team with a growing fan base.

    Without knowing much about your situation and when you started feeling the pain, the first thing that popped into my head was the meniscus. Basically the meniscus is the cartillage of your knee. Google it or look it up on wikipedia to check out types of injuries and treatment. If you continue to feel pain for a couple more days, I would go in and get it checked out by your doctor who will probably refer you to an orthopedists. Good luck.

    For those without the big ten network, like me, the highlights on big ten network's web site capture several nice plays from Hughes. His finishing ability at the rim is special. His jump shot is pure. I think we all saw the flashes last year in his limited time but I think this kid is going to be extremely good. Was he a big time recruit coming out of high school or just a diamond in the rough that Bo found?

    Badgers were down 11 at one point but lead at the half 38-32 over IPFW. After I turned the game on the radio is when they started to turn it around. Hughes led the effort with 14 points. Butch with 12 and 8 at the half. Everyone else has been pretty quiet and disappointing. I believe when IPFW had there 11 point lead they were shooting 50% from behind the arc. Being around basketball teams for the last 8 years and watching over 150 games, I've definitley seen it all, so these type of things happen. Big time schools come out slow and the little guys come out loose and on fire. Typically, what happened at the end of the half usually occurs. The little guys start to cool off and then the big guys get the momentum and don't look back. We'll see in the second half if that holds true. I sure hope so for the sake of this young team. Edit - 8 man rotation for Bo in the first half.

    Just a reminder for those with a Wii, there's this little game called Super Mario Galaxy coming out on Tuesday. I have played it at gamestop a couple of times and it is a blast. Real easy to pick up and learn. This is definitely a must own for Wii owners. This is from the IGN review:

    I picked up guitar hero today for the Wii and it's pretty fun. The wiimote fits snuggly into the guitar and doesn't get in the way.

    Just to let everyone know that owns a wii, like me. Nintendo is including remote jackets in all the new hardware being shipped but they are also sending free jackets for all remotes you own already. I got 2 in the mail today and didn't pay a dime. They are comparable to a jacket you would buy for a MP3 player. I played a couple of games tonight and absolutely love how much better the remote fits and feels.     Anyone attend the Red-White Scrimmage and what did you think? My brother went and said the red team, which consisted mostly of the bench players, really put it on the white team, which was led by Butch, Landry, Steisma, and J-Bo. Apparently they were up by 20 at the half and then they intentionally evened up the score and the scrimmage ended in a tie. It's nice to see that we have a lot of depth but it's a little concerning when the starters get clobbered so bad. Any thoughts?

    Last time I checked the Wii was a next gen system. The graphics may not be up to par with the other two but that's not why I play games. The only system I own is the Wii right now and I was just giving my review for the game. I have heard mix reviews for the other systems also. Basketball always seems like the toughest sport to mimick in a video game because of the creativity of the game. I have found out how to call time outs now and not being able to do spin moves and pump fakes makes me actually run plays so that's not all bad. The superstar challenge mode is pretty fun too as you replay key games from last year to see if you can duplicate, for instance, Kobe's big game. Anyone pick up NBA 2K8 for the PS2 and is it worth it for the $30?

    I've heard online roster update coming around the beginning of the season. The more I play the game the more disappointing it becomes for me. No pump fakes, no spins moves, no turbo button (if a guy gets past you, you aren't catching up). This game almost seems like a beta version to me and seems to leave out a lot. When you get the shooting motion to register, which is rarely, it is fun to hit a shot. Hopefully EA releases something to fix the problem with the shooting motion registering, because it is extremely annoying to work to get an open look and then pull up and have your guy do nothing but stand there as you frantically pull up on the remote. I thought about taking it back but I think I'll keep it around for a little bit of fun. I wouldn't recommend it if you are a hardcore basketball fan because it is lacking in several areas.

    So I just picked it up for Wii and corrected the roster except for Yi. I can play with him on the Chinese National Team but can't move him to the Bucks roster. Gameplay is fun but the rest of the game is seriously lacking with no franchise mode, no create a player, and for some reason I can't take a timeout during a game. Anyone have the Wii version and has figured out how to move Yi to the Bucks?

    Sorry I couldn't get the embedding to work. This is the funniest thing though to come out of SNL since last Christmas when they had junk in a box. Be warned though it is very easy to get this song stuck in your head.

    If we win tommorow, for the first time in 15 years we will have a winning ballclub and Cappy's horrible streak will end.

    Tommorow marks the first day the Cubs can clinch. We need guys to step up in this game to prevent that from happening. It starts with Cappy. We know you are better than what you have shown Cappy and now is the time to show it.

    Cubs have to face 5 straight left handed pitchers. Maholm, Duke, and Gorzellany (sp?) against Pitt and Willis, Scott Olsen in Florida. .257 AVG .318 OBP .416 SLG .734 OPS vs. Lefties. Compared to .274 AVG .336 OBP .415 SLG .751 OPS against righties. Advantage Brewers.

    The Umpire in the Huntsville Game has a huge strike zone and Gamel got struck out on 3 pitches that were off the plate. I guess you can expect that it's a pitchers duel then.

    Cubs still have to win tonight to tie us in the standings and the Cards have to win to pull back within 3 games. Plus, we are going home for the weekend.

    For those looking forward to the new NBC shows such as Journeyman, Bionic Woman, Chuck, and Life, the pilots are available On Demand on several cable services including Charter. I watched Journeyman and Bionic Woman and both look very cool. Journeyman took a different direction than I thought from the previews but it will be a show I will not miss. Bionic Woman looks to be capitalizing on the Heroes effect but I'm a sucker for sci-fi so I loved it. There are several other preview videos on demand for other NBC shows also. On Charter you select Cable Networks, Free Previews, and NBC Previews.

    4-2 but yeah, everything stays the same. Could have been a big day to pick up a game on both but Dave Bush had other ideas.
