  1. Ed Sedar is is like having a piece of excrement as your third base coach. I can't take seriously this organization's pursuit of excellence while that man continues to bumble his way through his job.
  2. Update: I renewed us for 2016 a couple weeks ago. BTW- First game is May 19th. Updated roster below. We need a couple more guys!! 01 valpo 02 Houle 03 nullbyte 04 radman 05 Schubert 06 Beeks 07 Al 08 Kenny ("Studying is overrated") 09 Austin (New recruit, thanks Beeks!) 10 Aaron (Questionable? Bad shoulder, only 1B or 2B or DH) ?? 11 Danny (Never heard back about new ER work shift)
  3. No audio stream available today, only radio, correct?
  4. Hey mattsr0625. We play at Sijan field in Bay View on Thursday nights, game times rotate between 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30. Let me know if you have any other questions!
  5. Piecing together from thread responses and text responses, below is how we stand. Looks like we could use a couple guys to be in solid shape for a team this season. Firmly in... 01 valpo 02 Houle 03 nullbyte 04 radman 05 Schubert 06 Beeks 07 Al In, but with qualifications...? 08 Kenny ..... unless studying takes priority!?!? 09 Aaron ..... bad shoulder, only 1B or 2B or DH Probably out... 10 Danny ...... started new second shift position Officially out... BrianRobinCoder ..... moved, lives too far away now Ryan ..... moved, lives in Dallas now EDIT: Updated with Al's and Danny's feedback.
  6. League renewal information is out for the 2016 season, due by Feb 17. Are we continuing the softball tradition under the Brewerfan.net banner this year?? Any topics to discuss? Jerseys? Sponsorship? FYI- It sounds like they made a rule change to use mats behind the plate this year, with strike zone being plate+mat. Let's use this thread as a signup for previous team members and anyone new that is interested in hopping aboard. I'll also send out a text message to everyone from last year. 01 valpo 02
  7. Yeah, I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it really, really, really does. Sigh. Boo. Expletive. Just go away Ned. Moron. EDIT: I hate sports.
  8. These announcers are idiots. Praising Hosmer's baserunning repeatedly on a play where he was DEAD with a decent throw. Duda throws the ball into the first row, of course he's going to be safe. Why the over-the-top accolades for the base running? He should have been out by a mile. Stupid.
  9. Terrible calls by the home plate ump in the top of the 9th on pitches that were up and away. Changed two straight at bats in huge ways to let the Royals off the hook when Toronto was threatening. Blue Jays got hosed. GO METS!!!!
  10. Immature, out of control, unintelligent, hothead. So glad he's not on the Brewers anymore.
  11. Trading a pitcher who proceeds to throw a no hitter less than a month later is the most Brewers thing ever. Meanwhile, we keep waiting for our first one in ~30 years. This franchise ... so much pain.
  12. "When I first heard that Marge was joining the police academy, I thought it would be fun and zany, like that movie ... Spaceballs. But instead it was dark and disturbing like that movie Police Academy."
  13. In fairness, "wide range" doesn't mean "even distribution". Considering there are documented cases out there of people marrying their pets or whatever, there's your evidence of the vast spectrum of what human beings consider right/wrong. Nervous topic to post about, but I wanted to stick up for rick's post because I thought it was very good and much bigger than this one example you cited. To be clear, I am not equating this example to the matter at hand, but I think it belongs in the conversation -- albeit on the extreme side. The way I see it.... Some think if you're a catholic you should only have a relationship with another catholic, others disagree with that belief. Some think promiscuity is okay, others disagree with that belief. Some think polygamy is okay, others disagree with that belief. Examples go on and on, especially expanding to other areas of life. There is an incredible range of differing opinions out there. I don't think there's anything wrong with disagreeing with someone's lifestyle on a belief you hold dear (possibly even sacred) as long as decency towards that individual is maintained. But, now more than ever, it does seem like that's not enough -- on some topics it's considered despicable to not convert to someone else's beliefs. That can be frustrating. Anyways, can't wait for the day when this type of thing will no longer be news. In these times, however, it is news. And the ridiculousness of the media will attempt to turn news like this into super-hyped-mega-crazy-insane-news. Sigh.
  14. So, Lance Lynn's 2.89 ERA is the HIGHEST we'll see from a St Louis SP this series? Up ahead, Jaime Garcia 1.89 and John Lackey 2.85 ... man. Must be nice.
  15. [sarcasm]Hector Gomez looks like he could use a night off.[/sarcasm]
  16. Based on the above replies and text messages... IN -- 01 valpo 02 Houle 03 Ryan 04 tim 05 Schubert 06 Al 07 Chris 08 Danny 09 Kenny 10 Radman 11 Brian UNKNOWN ------------ Aaron

  18. Update... IN -- 01 valpo 02 Brian 03 Beeks 04 Kenny 05 Radman 06 Danny 07 Schubert 08 Ryan 09 nullbyte 10 Houle 11 Aaron OUT --- Al
  19. Anyone interested in a little team outing after the game? There's a BW3s on 27th street south of Oklahoma, should have good food and drink variety for all. Probably our last chance, considering next week's game will finish after 10:00 with the 9:15 start. Roll call for the game... 01 valpo 02
  20. I thoroughly enjoyed the Braun triple and run scored. Offsets the K-Rod 18.00 ERA a little.
  21. ASCII codes FTW. We have everyone but Aaron... IN --- 01 valpo 02 nullbyte 03 Brian 04 Radman 05 Schubert 06 Al 07 Dan 08 Houle 09 Beeks 10 Ryan 11 Kenny OUT --- Aaron
