  1. I have a feeling that this is not far off from the real "Head of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming"... http://danielstrauss.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/jack-donaghy1.jpg
  2. What if you really like facial piercings, and just take it out when you go to work? Can your boss suspend/fire you because he saw you at the movies and you had your face-ring in?
  3. I have a feeling that this one is our first 7 figure signing. /not basing this on any info, but I've got a feeling
  4. The only reason weed is a problem is because it's easily caught in a drug test weeks after you've actually done it, and there is no way to know if you've actually got it out of your system. Coke? Yep, that's gone in a day. Alcohol? You have to be caught while drunk. Without looking it up, I'm pretty sure meth and heroin are gone in a few days as well. Hell. I'd rather have my players staying in their hotel room on road trips smoking weed, watching tv, and going to bed early rather than staying up til 3 partying in some big city. Weed is a prison filler, that's all. The prison system is big business and what better inmates to have than a constant flow of non violent stoners? That's the real reason that it will never be legal. Too many rich white people don't want it to be.
  5. Legalize it. That is all. Imagine failing a DUI roadside test because you had 5 beers two Saturdays ago. It's stupid. Who cares what he, or anyone else, does after work.
  6. Did you get a read on how hard Braddock was throwing? Sounds like he's tossing pure filth at these poor guys. Edit: 13 1/3 of his 24 2/3 innings pitched are strikeouts.
  7. Gennet and Howell = Sheets compensation picks? The Brewers had to have planned to get those picks, and probably set aside some money for them, why not spend that money making this awesome draft class even awesomer?
  8. Futurama in my eyes will always be equal to, if not better, than The Simpsons in it's prime. There are a few episodes in there that will bring tears to your eyes without ever meeting the characters in them (Fry's dog and brother come to mind). I'm pumped, and hope that these new episodes will expand on the actual series rather than the sub par movies. Fry and Leela's relationship added something that no tv cartoon ever had, or likely ever will. That, and Fry is the most relateable cartoon character ever (atleast for me, as a slacker who isn't too bright, and never gets the girl).
  9. Man. I don't think I've ever been this pumped after a draft. If we would have got the first and supplemental for Sheets, my head might have exploded. Seid is going all out his first year.
  10. So who was all there Colby? I'm assuming Heckathorn and Arnett? Any insight?
  11. Would Slade Heathcott (HS OF Texas) and Richard Shaffer (HS 3B North Carolina) be out of the question with the supplemental picks? I love me some big high school bats.
  12. I'm guessing that it's going to be either Arnett (best case senario, but not likely), Jared Mitchell, or Wil Myers in the first. Then take a HS pitcher who falls with the first supplemental, and a boom or bust project with the second. Very similar to what we did last year.
  13. Mass Effect 2 looks pretty darn cool. The game will recognize your saved file from the first game, and all the decisions you made then will effect how the game plays out in the new one. Pretty darn cool considering quite a few of your party members could be dead, and a whole species could still be alive.
  14. Wow... Anyone else seriously considering getting a Craig C jersey? Sure he's hot now, so that would be awesome, but 10 years down the road and wearing a Counsell shirt is going to give you some big street cred.
  15. SPOILERS... He wasn't willing to risk his last dream for the bird. He was willing to risk his dream to make the child he could never have happy. After that, the whole wife filling out the scrap book thing pushed him full bore for actually living in the present rather than living for a dream that is likely never to happen unless you tie 1,000 balloons together to your house. And yes, rluzinski nailed my whole Pixar growing with me thing. They would never be able to actually make a movie like WALL-E, Rataouille, or Up without having first started with movies that were more geared towards making movies more for children before hand. I feel like these last few movies are really what they've wanted to make the whole time, the ones leading up to it were just stepping stones to get to this point. That is what is great about this movie studio. They finally have gotten to the point where they are making whatever they want to make, and I'm willing to bet that it just gets better from here on.
