  1. Thats an interesting question -- He sure isn't helping his cause at all. I suspect though you may be right.
  2. Two draft picks for starters. I don't think the Brewers ever planned on signing Linebrink.
  3. Stick to the topic at hand, as a purely hypothetical scenario. In this scenario -- the Brewers would have botched 90%+ (according to BP), odds of making the playoffs -- in back to back years -- I am not sure that this has happened in the history of MLB. If it does, the only remedy would be to fire the clowns responsible, Melvin, Yost, Gagne, etc.... I think if MA took a strong stand and "cleaned house" people would give the Brewers the benefit of the doubt.
  4. Living in the Past.
  5. Packers, with Brewers during the commercials. Yeah -- I talked too much crap this week not to watch the Packer game. I will be flipping for sure, but primarily watching FB.
  6. I thought with the state that those three teams have been in the last week that you were referring to Save Our Ship. Me too, I thought Russ was signing off on full-scale panic time.
  7. Funny that they don't seem to mind when you win money. You don't tell them. You never tell them when you have money or are happy/content.
  8. I really doubt women built a functional site like that.
  9. I Think I Love You -- Partridge Family Unchained Melody -- Righteous Brothers -- Or Vito & the Salutations. When a Man Loves a Woman -- Percy Sledge (NOT Michael Bolton he is the Kevin Costner of music, up until the point Kevin Costner joined a band and became the Kevin Costner of music) So in Love -- Tymes Kung Fu Fighting -- Karl Douglass In the Still of the Night -- 5 Satins I Only Have Eyes for You -- Flamingos True --- Spandau Ballet Try a Little Tenderness -- Otis Redding Time After Time -- Cyndi Lauper Loving You -- Minnie Ripperton Baby I love Your Way -- Frampton Only You -- Platters When You Close Your Eyes -- Night Ranger I Do -- J. Geils Band I tried to mix it up a little. Have Fun!
  10. Just curious, but what does Warriors have to do with Native Americans. It is just a generic term for someone who is a fighter, soldier etc. The old Philly Warriors used an Indian logo.
  11. 1) Orlando Magic - I have often thought this name was absolutely dumb. First it doesn't end with an "s" and second it sounds like an 8-year-old kid thought of this nickname. Orlando is dominated by Disney -- The Magic Kingdom 9) Golden State Warriors - I didn't know Native Americans were prevalent in Oakland. The Warriors were from Philly. 17) New Jersey Nets - Its a basketball team, so the name makes sense... but I think the owners named them the Nets because they couldn't figure out what else to name them. This is like the equivalent of a baseball team calling themselves the "Anytown USA Gloves." I assumed they wanted to it to be like Mets/Jets
  12. I don't want to get involved in as "special time" will need to be disguised much more than need be now with a 6 and 3 year old. My dad used to tell my brother and I, "Your mom and I, are going to be looking at gun books, so don't bother us." Gross Although, it probably explains why I am not a huge 2nd Amendment guy.
  13. Lies! You are going to use it to record your wife snoring and then create a fetish web site! I'll sue you!!!! Wrong. You will be the first person to sign up.
  14. I am looking for a Camcorder, mostly to record my kids' sporting events -- and then to send to grandma's and grandpa's. I am not looking for the highest resolution or professional editing. Any ideas/recommendations?
  15. As a side note -- It seems to me, pitchers jump into the arms of their catchers, when they pitch "no-hitters". Why isn't CC leaping into Kendall's bosom? -- Did Kendall wave him off and point to Prince?
  16. None are comparable to Yost -- I'll stand by that.
  17. I'm sorry Apology accepted. -- It's a Fargo reference. This logic is so flawed. If Kendall is still on first, the pitcher would be pitching out of the stretch, and would most likely have different pitch selection. The hit and run may have been dumb, but you can't say that Parra still would have tripled, if Kendall was still on first. I think all TLB is saying no one like to see a baserunner get wiped out, only to see the next batter get a hit that would have scored him. The discussion was revolving around how certain posters remembered the H&R play -- Parra hitting a triple is going to stick in people's mind.
  18. Don't hurt me FTJ -- I think Yost has a shot to win it. I agree he has a chance, especially if things change in the standings from where are now -- I think it is Lou's award to lose.
  19. That's usually called an error in baseball. Sometimes. It's a judgement call, don't even pretend that errors/hits are called consistently as they should be. I see plays in every game that are ruled hits, that I would call errors. I would agree that CC should have been given an error, but I also think the main culprit is CC for not making the play -- not the scorer.
  20. Sorry FTJ, but at the end of the day if we're complaining about a one-hit shutout I'd love to see this thread every day. I am not complaining about CC at all -- I am OK that he misplayed that ball. He certainly has done many many more good things for the Brewers. CC pitched a gem. All I am saying is that CC had the chance to take the call away from the scorer by making the play cleanly in the first place. Oh man, I just watched Ned's press conference on ESPN...how embarrassing. He can't control his emotions whatsoever; he's like a drunk Dad making a scene in public. Yeah, I agree -- The Brewers got the chance to get the no-no, CC messed up. Oh well. Better start focusing on the Mets. I don't think CC needs to be stood up for here.
  21. I agree with most that I would have scored that an error. On the other hand, I am constantly baffled by what is called an error and what is called a hit and I know we have players that have benefited, *cough*Weeks*cough* and should have much different defensive stats. Please understand, I am not commenting on "defensive stats" rather "official scorer inconsistency/sobriety". At the end of the day, I am more pissed that CC didn't make that play cleanly. It sucks that our D continues to be a thorn for us. CC shouldn't be dependent on a scorer calling an "error his way" -- that seems a lot more weak to me, than bending over and making the play and getting the no-no that way. If that play was a slam-dunk for CC, we shouldn't be talking about it right now. All I know for certain, is that Greg Aquino makes that play, he fields his position much better.
  22. You could actually make a decent case for Cooper for turning around the Astros when it looked to all the world they had nothing to play for and about to enter a huge downward spiral. Agreed -- plus it seems like Houston's FO is working against Coop with their player acquisitions.
