  1. good idea, i'll try, stay tuned
  2. i had some problems with high resolution with mlbtv premium (but if you put lower standards is still enjoyable) even if i have optic fiber internet connection. nontheless, every year it gets better, this season all brewers game will be on HD plus you can choose home or away or broadcast. if you live outside of the USA, all playoffs games are included. last year the condensed games (all outs/hits/walks, usually a 10 min video) were free - with no audio -, but in 2008 were in the mlbtv premium (maybe in the "normal" one too) package.
  3. i don't say i don't like bush at all i say 4 M and some, could be used for the flexibility needed during the season. imho this is a mistake. we'll see and i hope it is just crazy talk...
  4. imho this is a mistake of the front office. bush should have been non tendered. 4.215 for one of the worst member of a rotation that was The Worst in NL is way too much. those 4M should gave the brewers that flexibility Melvin always talks about.
  5. . dbacks have budget related problems signing players drafted last month. the move should be seen as salary dumping. they see gillespie as a 4th OF at best, and mercedes only slightly more interesting. they are willing to part with doug davis too, and still talking with the brewers about him.
  6. the brewers went to santo domingo to have a look of how pedro's doing
  7. the toughest part is that we have to watch the whole game..
  8. a couple of hours. if anyone is intersted, write me a PM. mlbtv included in the package!
  9. i try again... i live in genova (1 1/2 from france border, 1 hr from milan, 1 hr from cinque terre, 2 from florence, 35 min to Portofino & Camogli) any brewerfan thinking of a trip to italy? i will be glad to meet some guys from this board and have a beer and discuss brewers with one who knows what i'm talking about for the first time in my life!
  10. corey hart, the most sung "unsung hero". he's really bad right now, RF is the place were a LH bat will be inserted the next season, but next season could be late.
  11. it's unacceptable. that guy thinks he's more important that the game or the cubs themselves. he's like a 7 years old kid. he used to make me lough (in pitiness) now i hate him. i'm really upset. i'd have liked to see a derrek lee (was he playing?) or pinella show a little personality and say something to him.
  12. calm down, he we'll have lasik surgery next off season... it helped kendall to hit .350 the first 20 games of 2008. what? no, you must be wrong, it's scheduled for the NEXT off season.
  13. i don't know if he can start at mlb level , but he started one game in WBC for italy (vs venezuela) and he was brilliant for 5 innings. during the WBC i had a telephone conversation with Alessandro Maestri (AA in the cubs farm) and he said that marco is such a great guy and that he always had a word and a minute for the youngsters.
  14. unless you are doctor spock, you are dealing with on of your most important patient. i can't think of a professional error, not with the athlete caliber such of a manny. you don't check one list....and oops.. the list was old...
  15. i watch every game on mlb.tv and there's a big guy, behind the plate. he's got mustache and often an afroamerican woman to his right. he always has a brewers gear on. maybe he's the one you defined "the doorman" before, but for me, a foreign fan, he's the ultimate baseball fan he's miller park, i feel at home when i see him on my pc! he's my legend he shows up every single time!
  16. http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/Morisato/2006/07/13/The_Worst_Trades_In_Baseball_History The only player in baseball history ever to be traded for himself was Harry Chiti. He was traded from the Cleveland Indians to the New York Mets for a player to be named later. He later became that player to be named later and was traded back to Cleveland in 1962 approximately 2 months later.
  17. italy defeated canada 6-2. brewers related news: vince perkins had a rough start for team canada, lucroy didn't play. rottino and di felice (the battery in the first game) watched the game so did lucroy. other news: morneau awesome but so was chris denorfia and alex liddi (20 y and italian, i mean..real italian!) we'll play venezuela again this afternoon.
  18. mark di felice tossed 4 scoreless inning in team itay debut last saturday. the venezuelan powerhouse abused of jason grilli in the fifth and the azzurri failed to bring home any of the 9 baserunners they had in the first five innings. rottino did the catchings and was useless with the bat. tonight we play canada, if you want to here an italian radio broadcast made by a brewerfan.net member check http://radio.playitusa.com/. if we get a chanche we'll interview di felice (we asked for him and punto) yesterday we talked to alessandro maestri (in the AA cubs franchise), and he pitched well vs venezuela.
  19. MLB is targeting Rome, Milan etc, but in italy there are only 4 or 5 ciies (better towns) in which baseball is like a religion: grosseto (between rome and florence) nettuno (near rome) parma (the bigger of the three near Bolgne). Also no team at all from south italy. the main problem is there are no ballparks in which MLB can organize friendly match or happening. you know, we only got soccer stadium, in which you can't play baseball at all not even a "one night only". i heard about a project of a new park in Rome: Italy his hosting the next baseball world cup, so the italian baseball federation is riding this tiger trying to build this new park. the park in milano is like the worst high school field you can imagine, like the "field of dreams" one, but without the ghost players.... IBL should start in 2011 with heavy investiment of MLB, but by now we don't know even the cities involved. i'm rather pessimistic about this project because in the big cities baseball will NEVER be followed, meanwhile in the small towns where baseball is one of the most followed, there is no real interest to spend money by the big brother MLB.
