  1. The best part is that Astros even pitched out on the 0-1 pitch expecting the squeeze. RR probably saw that and decided to 'outsmart' the opposing manager and squeeze 2 pitchers later. I wish I could put that in blue.
  2. When the next closest model of car on the market doesn't even touch 6 digits in value, a person with near unlimited funds will still probably consider purchasing the luxurious item. Especially if it's replacing the persons 5th car in his collection that's a project car or has glaring signs of rust creeping in.
  3. The sad thing about the situation is that Greinke is swinging one of the hottest bats on the team. /notinblue
  4. Maybe about that time for someone on our team to actually swing at a 1st pitch right down the middle.
  5. Two outs, you drag the throw away from home to score the run. You watch to make sure Braun scores and if he doesn't you stop to get him home before the out. It was a full count with 2 outs, they weren't going to come close to getting Braun out at home.
  6. I like your attitude..raise the morale around here a lil bit!
  7. My jaw dropped when I heard him say that... had to logon and make sure I heard right on here.
  8. Any of them just as much as Estrada, but that's not the point. Getting runs right there has much more value than stretching out 1 more inning out of your 6th starter who probably just started taking actual BP a week or so ago on his first start. If you have arms in the pen you need to use them, the 'who do you have confidence in?' line isn't even applicable, they are in our pen for a reason - do you have confidence in Estrada? B/c I have just as much confidence in them as I do in him going into the 6th inning.
  9. This isn't one of our studs Yo/Greinke/Marcum on the mound that you can push some innings out of with confidence. Estrada is an average pitcher at best and to let him hit in one of the few scoring chances of the game is crazy, especially when you are looking at 1 more inning out of him, 2 MAX.
  10. Let's go brewers. Weeks with a homerun in his opening at bat, most likely on the third pitch.

  12. For those interested, there is an NBA freeroll on January 6th and another $350 NFL tourney this weekend for the wildcard round. NBA: http://bit.ly/jan6th100privatefreeroll NFL January 7-8th: http://bit.ly/350wildcardfreroll
  13. Hey everyone hope BF doesnt consider this as spam but if so you can just go ahead and delete it... but considering everybody's fantasy football leagues are over i just wanted to share with you guys a private 500$ prizepool tourney at draftstreet. You basically just set up a lineup consisting of 2 QBs 2 RBS 2 Flex 2 WR 1 TE 1 DST under a $100,000 salary cap. I placed in a freeroll a few weeks back and it's been so addicting ever since since you can play daily NBA and NHL leagues for money too. Either way I just thought I'd share a site to help kill some time if you ever need to, here is the link you just have to signup and then the freeroll should popup right after. $500 Private NFL Freeroll
  14. Sounds like we're going to catch a break with no Holliday tonight after he 'tweaked' something in his back.
  15. I got 4 for the Tuesday game at 9:01 ish, going to be my first game of the year.
  16. I don't think the potential picks should come into play because the Mets were never going to see those picks, at least not this offseason. With the exception of an injury, the option was going to vest so the picks were never going to be in play for the Mets. Again, this was all about the Mets not having to pay 17.5 mil next year, nothing more, nothing less. The picks were never going to be in play for the Mets but any team that acquires him without hitting the vesting option clause is going to get those picks so although the Mets won't be getting the picks that would not affect his potential value which goes back to the OP of how we got such a good deal.
  17. MLB.com has this game as the free game of the day for those who need it like me.
