    a team that always focuses on the short term never has sustained winning. The truth is it is a balancing act and unfortunately the Brewers have to be more cautious and sure of their moves because thier margain for error is so small. The last thing the Brewers need to do is panic and overpay.

    on the hawaii winter baseball broadcasts they pronounced it Gam-uhl

    I'm in the MLB-ESPN dead zone of Iowa where games involving the Twins, Cardinals, Cubs, Royals and White Sox are blacked out even though only one of these teams is on local cable... all this means is that the only games on ESPN are Red Sox and Yankees (which are 90% of the games anyway) unacceptable.

    A buddy and i caught the game last night on some random channel. We were talking about "the look" when he hit the go ahead homer and my buddy said, "Shut Yo' Mouth" and now we have a saying for all Prince's homers.

    Thought this is as good a place as any but the Cardinals TV crew had a pretty low opinion of Yost and the color guy mentioned that when he talks to 'people who know things' about the Brewers they say that Yost would be lucky to get six weeks into the season before Simmons takes over. I don't really believe that because Yost sure doesn't seem like he is managing for his job and the Cardinals color guy was pretty much a pompous jerk for three hours last night but it is worth mentioning when there is some discussion over the national view of Yost's capability.
