  1. Actually Snell went with Wilson to Seattle. Pittsburg actually got some decent talent in return. That's what I'm saying, Hart and prospects for Washburn/Snell/Morrow. We need all we can get.
  2. This is why I don't start drinking before noon, I'm shocked the wording is so coherent.
  3. How in the world is this team 37 games under .500? Break up the Nationals.
  4. It's time to change our thinking as this team is not going anywhere this year but I believe the future can be very bright. With the tradeable assets we have what would be realistic returns? No Bill Hall talk, I said assets and preferably players we lose control of. Who could we get for Trevor? Who could we get for Cameron? Who could we get for Looper?
  5. Please sell, sell, sell!!! Get what you can for Looper, Hoffman and Cameron.
  6. If Hoffman is going to be a type-A free agent then I don't think it makes sense to deal him. I really don't think we'd get more back in a trade than what we would get in draft pick compensation. Seeing how well that process worked for us last year I say no thanks. A 40 something pitcher who will limit his suitors will probably not get us the 2 picks. A good team may wait to sign him after the deadline or maybe he'll just retire.
  7. There is no such thing as clutch
  8. I do not have rainbows Well played
  9. Why do I picture Orca's room covered in pictures of whales, rainbows and Johnny Depp posters? Go Cubs.
  10. Will somebody tell the whale that life is not all gumdrops and lollipops. Take glass half full somewhere else.
  11. Looking at weather.com it appears the rain comes tommorrow after 3pm. I don't see why they can't move the game from 7 est to 12 est and let the Cubs get out of town earlier. Than you just have to worry about the final series of the season.
  12. I think this quote totally sums it up. The fans boo lousy little league type mistakes coming from major leaguers and they have grown tired of the same old mistakes happening over and over again. Milwaukee's fans are great and the fact is we have gotten a product over the years that never improved on the little things it takes to win games. I hope this was all Ned's fault.
  13. Think of the Division winner #1 as a seeding process. The Cubs or Brewers will be the #1 divison winner/or the wild card and the Mets and Dbacks play for the 2 and 3, even though I don;t think any of that matters.
  14. Greendale Martin Luther Spartans Most famous and only famous alum: (My junior year prom date, she was a freshman and less enhanced.) http://images.askmen.com/galleries/model/candice-michelle/pictures/candice-michelle-picture-1.jpg
  15. I am sick and tired of all the stat geeks on this site that truely believe stats rule the game. It is not fantasy baseball and heart and desire do matter. THIS IS A BAD BASEBALL TEAM AND IT WILL NOT CHANGE. They are bad because they lack the leadership to tell them that the way they do things doesn't produce wins. Some will get hot while others are cold and vice versa so your yearly numbers will look like you expected but the wins will not be there. I was an All American football player in college and I need to let you know that winning is more than stats it is a mentality and this team is as far from it as any in sports. It is so obvious that this is a complete me first team. (Outside of Corey Hart) Living in KC I wish I was not such a homer to all Wisconsin sports teams. The amount of time I have invested to this site and this team in the last 8 years is in the thousands of hours. I have never been so dissappointed in the level of play, effort and enthusiasm as I have been in this years team. They are hard to root for. It is not stats or slumps or any measurable, it is a bunch of kids that have been pampered through the minors and now they don't get what it takes to win. Ned Yost is still making excuses for them like it's the September of there call up. "Bushy just left a few pitches up" or "Ricky seeing a lot of pitches". I for one am tired of it and I think we fans deserve more than we are getting. Our fan base and this site prove how much we back this team but I can't help feeling a huge disconnect. I really hope we turn it around but I'm just not sure this bunch can do it. Someone tell me I'm not alone. At least tell me your drinking too
  16. Crawford V. Jenkins Age Crawford 25 Jenkins 33 BA V. lefties Crawford .298 Jenkins .194 BA V. righties Crawford .280 Jenkins .278 Crawford by a nose.
  17. The ability to steal 50 SB and create havoc on the basepaths certainly has to be worth something. We seem to have become a team that relies too heavily on the home run. I have no stats or formulas to back this up I'm just saying a guy like Crawford at the top of your lineup come playoff time is more benificial than whatever Jenkins is going to give you. Stats are great for 162 game projections but if the Crew is down a run in the 8th inning of a game 7 who would you rather have coming up to bat?
  18. Coco thinks Crawford is special.
  19. I know this won't happen but I'm just playing off other trade proposals. This series of trades would give the Brewers the best lineup in baseball by far for years to come. Trade 1 Brewers and Braves: Bush for Salty Dog Trade 2 Brewers and Rangers Gwynn and Sarfate for Otsuka Trade 3 Brewers and D-Rays Vargas,Jeffers, Salome and Sollman for Crawford. When Hall gets healthy he becomes utility man/second base for the rest of the year and next year becomes full time left fielder. Salty gives us a future stud catcher who makes Salome expendable. D-Rays may want Inman instead of Jeffers and I'd do it and more. The future could start right now. 2007/2008 Lineup CF Crawford SS Hardy 3B Braun 1B Fielder RF Hart C Estrada/Salty LF Hall 2B Weeks Rotation SP Sheets SP Capuano SP Gallardo SP Villy SP Suppan Pen CL Cordero in 2007 CL Otsuka in 2008 SU TBow RP Parra (also 6th starter when needed( RP Wise RP Balfour RP Thatcher RP Nugget It would be time to start getting fitted for rings.
  20. Keith Law's latest mock has us taking Wieters with the comment "not a lock". Top alternatives Moustakas and Dominguez. Worst case all being gone and us taking Mesocora. I for one would be thrilled with this Wieters but like many others I highly doubt it. The HS catcher from Punxantoney seems to have Brewer pick written all over him, East coast late riser up the board, possible reach will turn out OK.
  21. Depression to begin in T minus 4 minutes
  22. Bad twighlight zone episode, I'm still in the 7th with B. Hall up and two on. Are u all in cahoots
  23. According to "realtime" JJ's still up with two on and no out and were down two, you say koskie is up, im drunker than I thought.
  24. On ESPN real time D Sanchez certainly looks the part
