    According to Espn's winter meetings chat ,the Phillys are making Joe available for cash or relief pitching. He could be a good fit anlong with one of the FA pitchers(Wolf)

    we are up around 25 mil. 10 for cam 5 for jj 5 for kendall 6.5 for looper. I dont think we are going to be able to get a FA pitcher worth signing unless we give them 3 years and none are worth it. I am hoping Doug get creative and is able to take on salary like with what the Soxs did with Peavey.

    I don't think the FA pitchers out there are worth the long term investment. Anyone else think we'll sign a reclamation project or 2 and let one or 2 of the A or AA starts have a shot and try again next year in FA ? I just can't see us wasting money on 3 years of Davis or Washburn in this market. It's just my gut but I think we sit on like 20 million and see where we are on July 31th.

    Yesterday I was listening to the score in Chicago and one of the guys there said the White Sox so call up doug and get Fielder. What about Danks, Thorton, and a AA/AAA outfielder? I think that that would be about right. Gamel goes to 1st base , Mcgee goes to 3rd

    I love the fact that not only did we sweep the Cards , we wrecked their bullpen for the Cubs series.This team is going to fade fast I think

    I think alot depends on where we stand for the last cub series. I could see Ned throwing some one out there for the final game if we have the wild card locked up in order to set up a cc,sheets,parra rotation in the 1st rd

    just wait till july/aug when they lose a starter or 2 and there bullpen is shot from over use in April.

    I'd stay away from emachines. I'd get a dell for the support also and they are very cheap nowadays

    Its a pretty good off season. Signing relievers is never sexy, and he failed to get a legit 3rd baseman. Plus our new catcher is no all star. Is the team better? Yes but I don't think by all that much.

    I am about to do the same thing. I am sick of the winters here and the taxes in the state are ridiculous. I am waiting to here back from a defense contractor in lexington , ky. The only person I know there is my friend who got me an interview.
