    Agreed wish he would make me forget about Elmer.. this bullpen can't afford a throwaway arm with a 1 hitter pitcher (Shouse) and a 1 inning every couple of days pitcher (Wise)

    So when do we have to get off of Spurling's back? When his ERA drops below 2? Full disclosure.. I have been hammering him all season so I would be first in the crow eating line.

    At some point don't the Brewers have to bring up Thatcher.. Seriously you already have two pitchers you can't throw in close games (Dessens, Spurling). you need a left that can get righties out as well.. I think this is more critical than getting Capellan back up..

    I can't express the joy I feel at the Brewers not signing Pierre to play CF.. too bad we spent that money on Hall and Suppan..

    No kidding why couldn't Mark A thrown $10 million at Vin when they go rid of Sutton.. I would have ponied up the money to Comcast to listen to him broadcast Brewers games all year..

    If you would have told me it would be a Elmer night I would have been said but not it is almost reason to stay up and be entertained when he "closes" out the 8th and 9th..

Girls Softball.. 5. Junior Griffey 325 foot HR 2: Wings eating contest 1. Arena Football.. No Bill Hall Catch or Prince HR.

    Why not try to send Jenkins there with the pitcher up next or was it not an option? Gameday needs to show the runners in motion as the play happens..

    Excellent points.. I guess on a team with Hall, Jenkins, Weeks. etc.. it is nice to have one or two guys to put the ball in play at least for a change of pace : )

    I am surprised the anchors on ESPN don't speek with an English accent since they obviously only think there a 13 colonies still. I am sure they will find time for Arena highlights tonight though..

    I agree.. the concern is in year 3 and 4 when the Brewers need to pay other players and he is dragging down 10 - 12 million a year.. Of course if the Brewers make the playoffs this year and / or next as a result of him I will gladly let Capuano or Sheets walk..

    BREAKING NEWS: I just flipped on ESPN and guess what was on? Highlights of Red Sox - Yankees and now analysis of the game.. At least they ran Fielder's homer on their status bar..

    Any offense you get from your catcher is a bonus... the concern to me is when you don't get offense from a power position (i.e. 3B).. Similarly can't understand why the Yankees go with Dougie M at first.. he is the 1B equivalent of Counsell..
