  1. Its already pretty much conceded that Branyan would win the HR derby getting only 3 outs with everyone else getting the normal 10. Its really not a fair competition if Branyan is included.
  2. i'm up for swapping Manny and Craig in this order.
  3. But i think Braun has a more legit chance of making it than most of those guys... except maybe Burrell.
  4. I cleared my cookies and temp files, I was able to vote again. It is also per email address... so feel free to use those other accounts!
  5. Its not letting me vote more than 25 times (on different days)... what's going on?
  6. I don't like the new Klements ad with the family around and the sugary sweet music. Thirded... I freak out a little everytime that commercial comes on... and now I'm singing it in my head, I hate everyone.
  7. He needs to go for 78 top ten finishes. I would be very impressed if he beats that record of Jack's.
  8. I don't think LAA is a possibility as they are pretty content with a young Casey Kotchman. They are more likely to rebuild their pitching staff. Maybe you don't remember, but LAA bats a DH.
  9. Fielder and Weeks for Daniel Cabrera, George Sherril, Chad Bradford, and Brian Roberts Does anyone else think we lose big time in that deal?
  10. And I don't think any team is offering a pitcher we would want without expecting Braun or Hart in return. How about Fielder since we aren't going to resign him and we have two players who can come in right now and replace him. I don't mean replace like hit 50 HRs, but LaPorta/Gamel + Pitcher > Fielder

  12. I am so happy I was there to witness that HR. I've never high fived so many people. My hand is still a little sore. The most fun I've ever had at a loss ever, not even close.
  13. As good of an idea this might be, I'm not sure its very practical. Bush has a career Home ERA of 3.89, his Road ERA is 5.48. I'm not sure a platoon for a pitcher is possible. Maybe trying to skip over Bush on the road, but most pitchers are worse on the road than at home. Its just a part of the game, Bush seems to be more worse than most.
  14. Yeah, I forgot about the fact he was still Arby Eligible. I would honestly keep him going with arbitration for the next few years, maybe offer him a longer extension after next season.
  15. I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to that. Its a relatively small risk for a guy that has stepped in like a #3 starter.
  16. I think the whole point of this thread is to point out how quickly we are to blame our GM and manager, but don't often take the time to give them props when a decision of theirs works. No one is saying you can't get on them for poor choices, but we have to remember that every so often, they get something right.
  17. RENT is by far my favorite show. I've seen in three times (New York, Chicago, and Milwaukee). There were all fantastic, but the one in New York was by far the best. Then again, I haven't seen Wicked yet, which i've heard is pretty amazing. I also saw Les Miserables in New York, that was a great show as well. However, if you really aren't into plays or musicals, you probably won't have a good time. If I were to suggest a show to anyone, it would be RENT.
  18. The problem is none of the guys that Kerkjian says should be staring will get voted in, so they will be reserves.
  19. Outfield RANK PLAYER NAME NL TEAM TOTAL VOTES 1. Soriano, A. Cubs 1,088,866 2. Fukudome, K. Cubs 918,262 3. Griffey, K. Reds 775,759 4. Lee, C. Astros 587,027 5. Beltran, C. Mets 518,838 6. Braun, R. Brewers 514,913 7. Holliday, M. Rockies 507,628 8. Pence, H. Astros 500,857 9. Burrell, P. Phillies 487,131 10. Ankiel, R. Cardinals 478,136 11. Upton, J. D-backs 458,461 12 McLouth, N. 20. Either very good or very bad... depending on outcome.
  21. Gamel is left handed.
  22. i'm gonna take a rock, tie a rope to it, tie my feet around the rope just long enough so that when i throw the rock in the river only my head sticks out....... and wait for the rain.
