    In honor of the dislike thread.... Lets try to make it more friendly this time guys. 1. Ken Griffey Jr. (just been my favorite player since i was a kid) 2. Grady Sizemore (plays his heart out and my be the best defensive CF in the game) 3. Matt Holliday (no real explanation, but I just find myself cheering for him) 4. Chone Figgins (fun player to watch) 5. Cole Hamels (one of the nastiest pitchers i've ever seen)

    He'll be under our control for arbitration until 2009. He doesn't have a contract yet, but we have all the rights to sign him before any other team.

    Young players that haven't played a full season + playoffs before do need to build their stamina. Players reach their prime in their mid to late 20s, not early 20s.

    I am only 22 and there were years that I have played softball 3 nights a week, or more if we had a tournament on the weekend. You play for maybe 2 months as opposed to major leaguers who play 8 months. Comparing city league softball to major leauge baseball is a joke. The last time I got hit with a ball was while running on the bases from a bad throw by the other team.

    I can't believe some fools actually think sitting Prince in this situation is a good move. This is a big game. Losing 3 of 4 to the Reds (which would make it 8 of 11 vs the Pirates, Reds & Nats) is not something that playoff teams do. The eternal optimism is amusing. I can't wait to hear some of the replies after another loss in which they manage to squeak out another 3 runs. Take off the blinders. First of all, everyone needs to settle down a little bit. It is great that we are this passionate about our team and its even better that they are playing well this season. However, we can't expect our best players to play every game. Our team is young and most of them have not played full seasons in the MLB yet in their careers. If we want everyone fresh and HEALTHY for the playoffs, we need to give them regular time off. It is true, we are in a funk right now and the Cubbies are playing great, but the Brewers are a good team and they will play their way out of this. The Cubs are good too, but they aren't this good. It will be a race and very exciting to be a part of.
