  1. wood looks a little better today http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  2. I have Killer Instinct on Nintendo 64.
  3. T-Bow pounding the strikezone. This is what he (and all RP) need to do. Edit: then he hits Pie......
  4. dang... guess TGJ is better than Gross. Sample Sizes be darned!
  5. come on Gabe... Prove you are better than TGJ!
  6. wait... It is possible to score on Marmol? He is human. I guess this means: Weeks > Jesus Prince > Jesus
  7. I was kinda hoping McClung and TGJ would make a good trade package. Now with TGJ getting hurt and McClung showing what he does... I can only hope for about 3 baseballs, a batting glove and some chewed tabacco.
  8. I retract my former statement about Bush being better than this. (Although I do believe this will only be a one game lull)
  9. WHY IS KAPLER IN? Cause TGJ is where OPS goes to die.
  10. wow... dempster mows down Fielder and Braun. This is no good.
  11. wow... 4 pitch walk for a run. Come on Bush, you are better than this.
  12. Dang, he may actually bring some good trade value when Cam comes back. Keep it up TGJ!
  13. Mark Prior... 5 years ago http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. I guess I wouldn't be totally opposed to DH in both leagues. I just feel it should be equal. It is too apparent that the AL has a huge advantage in home games in the World Series. (I know i said this already in the thread, but it is really the one thing I dislike about baseball the most).
  15. Might as well call Yost an idiot for batting the pitcher 8th in the lineup. There are statistics to back up this move... there are none that support Patterson batting leadoff.
  16. I also feel that the NL style of play is much more exciting. AL managers have a cake walk when it comes to in game decisions, fill out a lineup card, maybe go to the bullpen once or twice. NL style is a thinking man's game.
  17. though it would help provide a place for Prince, long-term. Too bad that place isn't Milwaukee.... Here's my problem with the DH, I think it give the AL an unfair advantage in the World Series. They have an extra player on their roster that gets paid to hit. There are very few NL teams that have a bench player on their roster that can match up with the top 12 DHs in the AL.
  18. Other than the DH rule, I completely disagree with you. I think one of the best parts of baseball is the differences between the parks. It really doesn't affect the game since both teams are playing on the same field on the same day, so I'm not sure why you would want to eliminate how unique one park is from another. As for what I would do... Salary Cap and Roster Minimum. I really can't stand the way the Yankees and Marlins run their organizations. Edit: I do think that any new stadium built north of St. Louis should have a retractable dome.
  19. the ceiling was including 3-5 inside the park HRs http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. Rickie Weeks OBP/SLG/OPS A: .474/.556/1.030 (2003, 63 ABs) AA: ..368/.407/.775 (2004, 479 ABs) AAA: .403/.655/1.058 (2005, 203 ABs) Tony Gywnn Jr. OBP/SLG/OPS A: .366/.326/.692 (2003, 236 ABs) AA: .312/.311/.623 (2004, 534 ABs) AA: .370/.338/.708 (2005, 509 ABs) AAA: .360/.396/.756 (2006, 447 ABs) Also, Weeks has .400 OBP potential at a major league level and better base stealing ability. HR Ceiling Weeks: 30-35 Gwynn: 5-10

  22. I really don't think I can put it any better than this cubs fan from nsbb.com put it. "I've been saying that for awhile. They have an awesome leadoff man that should have a .400 OBP, 30 SB and 15-20 HRs at the end of the year. They have two hitters that will hit 40-50 HRs this year at 3 and 4. They have Corey Hart who will probably be a 20-20 guy with good OBP. Their only weak spot on offense is catcher, and Kendall looks comfortable hitting behind the pitcher. As far as their pitching, ours might be slightly better right now, but their ceiling is much higher. I'd take Sheets, Gallardo, Suppan, Parra, Villenueva over our mess any day. Sheets and Z are about even. Sheets is probably better when healthy, Z tends to be erratic. Our bullpen is better, but not by as much as last yaer, and their defense is better by moving Braun to LF. Not on par with ours, but again not a huge disparity as last year. Oh and in 23 games, they will get a very good 30 HR potential hitter back into their lineup. Injuries are the only things that will slow Milwaukee down this year."
