  1. We'd win 50 games max!!! 1.5 runs scored per game results in to many loses do you guys really think this team would be that bad offensively... even if it was an offense that averaged 3.5-4 RPG, it would be a playoff team. Pitching and Defense win championships... our only hole would be at 1B. If needed, we could still trade for Burrell or Baldelli with Vargas, Villenueva, Jackson, or some of our other minor league pitchers.
  2. obviously, that lineup would count on TGJ being a legit leadoff guy and Braun being able to hit well in the majors. But i think that team could average 4.5 runs per game, which would be enough with that rotation.
  3. Trade Rickie Weeks for Jake Peavy Trade JJ Hardy and Prince Fielder for Scott Kazmir Rotation 1. Sheets 2. Peavy 3. Kazmir 4. Capuano 5. Bush Lineup 1. Tony Gwynn Jr. - CF 2. Tony Graffanino - 2B 3. Corey Hart - RF 4. Bill Hall - SS 5. Geoff Jenkins - LF 6. Ryan Braun - 1B 7. Corey Koskie - 3B 8. Johnny Estrada - C 9. Pitcher I don't know, maybe I'm nuts, but this seems like a team that would really compete. We would also have depth in our pitching staff is Sheets went down.
  4. that's pretty much what you have to do when you add veteran players. I'd rather have a couple of vets over one stud and a bunch of inexperienced players.
  5. They took him out so the pitchers spot was the last one to bat They could have taken Clark out and had Hart play CF.
  6. Bill Hall is due for a HR too, since he didn't hit one in Sunday's game.
  7. Is it just me, or are the Reds just sitting on the curveball every time Sheets gets them to two strikes. He needs to pitch more fastballs on two strike counts. They've still gotta hit the curve ball... so far, they haven't done it much.
  8. Sheets is really going to have to pitch well, no Rickie for sure.... ouch
  9. I'm always in an argument about Strikeouts and if they matter or not. What I'm looking for is a list of the top guys in the league at putting balls in play and the bottom guys in the league for balls in play. Can anyone help me out?
  10. I really hope I see Carlos manning LF for the next 4-5 years......
  11. Really? Tonight's game will probably put him around 4.00 ERA since the start of June. And that's been his best run of the year. He's over 30. You're really interested in looking at an expensive, long-term extension for someone like that? Notice I didn't copy the part about the extension. I just think he's been our 2nd best pitcher this year and people shouldn't be so hard on a guy thats pitched as well as he had over the last couple months. No, we shouldn't resign him, but we should not think we should dump him for whatever we can get.
  12. He had a rough start to the season, but here are his earned runs in his last 8 starts: 2, 3, 3, 0, 3, 2, 7, 1. He had one bad game in there, but he is pitching like the old Davis. He has a 3.71 ERA since the start of June. thats a quote from the trade rumors page, lets get off of Davis's back, he's done great since June.
  13. he's about as useful as a dead person... so i'll say yes.
  14. none... they haven't played this month yet http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

  19. It was a hit up the middle that Rickie got to and did the leap in the air to make the throw to 1st move. AND NO ERROR!!!!!!!!!!! ........wow.............
  20. hit to second? can someone explain, at work, no radio, i'm lost
  21. I have to remember for my fantasy baseball team to pick up any pitcher facing the brewers that I've never heard of before...... ARGH!!!!!!
