Didn't mind Hader facing Rizzo, just wanted something away. It was clear Rizzo was setup a little off the plate, expecting pitches inside compared to his previous at bat.

I applauded umpire West for taking the action in the first place, but I guess MLB is going to allow it. Anything they can do to slow down games. Instead of teams just following the rules of 6 conferences, now pitchers will start having a conference with themselves and a cheat sheet several times per inning.

Getting a walk-off on the road would be quite interesting.

Start Burnes and let the opponents load their lineup with lefty bats, then bring in Gio in the 3rd or 4th innings. Why not just name Burnes the starter, allow the opponent to turn in their lineup, but change yours at the last second. Or just use up Burnes that day without throwing a pitch with the expanded 40-man depth. Do it again the next day, until the opponent figures it out and doesn't throw all their left handed hitters in there?
