  1. Amen. The likelihood of Cain jamming a finger there is more than an injury of a collision, in my opinion.
  2. Will Brewers fan develop a scoooooooop chant? Similar to Luuuuuuuc?
  3. Schoop was 12th in MVP voting. I think that is saying something about the potential of a player who got for a year and a half. Team feels like an ACE short of a full deck though.
  4. Wouldnt it have to be Bundy and Schoop? Gausman already gone to the Braves, yeah?
  5. Rosenthal says it's done per his verified twitter
  6. I'll be pissed if Shaw goes. My DDC jersey will only be 3 weeks old. Geez
  7. Wade Miley at this rate.
  8. Per Twitter. Brian Kropp ‏ @bkropp8 Brewers have a deal in place for Harvey sources tell me. Sending Lucas Erceg and Yeison Coca #Brewers #Reds 12:28 PM - 31 Jul 2018
  9. 71 pitches in 2 2/3. Good Grief. 2 hours to play 3 innings. albeit a small power delay.
  10. Merrifield = "Untouchable" https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/07/gm-dayton-moore-says-royals-will-not-trade-whit-merrifield.html
  11. Portland drafting Sam Bowie ahead of Jordan is something that haunts a franchise. Portland drafting Oden ahead of Durant is something that haunts a franchise. The Packers drafting Mandarich ahead of Barry, Deion, and Derrick Thomas is something that haunts a franchise. The Brewers trading Kodi Medeiros for Joakim Soria is not going to haunt our franchise. Promise. You can not like the trade ... but let's keep it in perspective here. Spot on! I don't hate the trade really. Medeiros won't keep me up at night. I just think they got their irons in the wrong fire right now.
  12. Absolutely pessimistic. Not calling the season over, but Soria alone doesn't get more wins than they would have minus Soria, in my opinion. Called the same predictions last season around July 26th. I just feel like this is a .475 club living on borrowed time. I hate feeling that way, but :shrugs:
  13. Ditto on not liking the trade for a variety of reasons, but losing games when they've lead after 6 innings has not been a problem for this team. And there are going to be days where you are getting blown out and it's just fine to use Drake/Logan/etc. I just think there was zero need to get fatter in the bullpen right now. They need an impact bat or two and a SP that can project as somewhere between ACE and #3. If they go out and get a Ray Durham type, I'll lose my mind. As fun as trading is, I wish they would have just stood pat with their resources this year. They really failed to capitalize on their start for the 2nd year in a row and make a move in early July to push the envelope, a la Sabathia. Instead, they sat on their hands and allowed a horrible losing streak, more than likely, cause a repeat of 2017 and a complete miss of the playoffs. I've read this novel too many times as a Brewers fan. I'll be shocked if they get an impact bat and a worthy SP to go along with Soria. If they don't, I don't see the point in Soria.
  14. Cot's lists it as a mutual option. Assuming he can get more than 10M per on a free agent deal, this looks like a 10 week rental for Milwaukee. http://legacy.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/american-league/chicago-white-sox/
  15. Dumb. Of all the assets you could acquire for Medeiros, they choose another, largely unneeded, bullpen piece. Burnes better be shifting to the rotation immediately.
  16. Off-Topic I guess, but what is the rule on being in the dugout? I assume Suter was moved to the 60-day DL, but I see him in the dugout with the team. What's the point of this?
  17. Should that be the answer though? Not that we need to be mindful of our own character, but instead, our employer needs to pay somebody to hide our behavior from the public on our behalf?
  18. Short answer. .460 for the remainder
