Have you seen his last 3 starts? How do you explain his last start in Washington? Perfect through 3, gives up a hit and then gets shelled from then on. I know he isn't going to doninate every night, but he has been kind of a head case this season IMO. So tired of people blaming every poor thing on a player's mental condition. They do it with Gomez, Manny Parra, and others. Sometimes, athletes just don't athletically do what is expected of them. It doesnt have to be "his head isn't right" all the time. Golly Gee! Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to get that off my chest.

Be glad you don't live in Tampa, as I do. Not only do you have to go to the worst stadium in the major leagues, the idiots here are encouraged and bring incessant amount of cowbells to the games and shake them....alll.....game....long.

Bang Bang. Had it been Nyjer hustling and throwin out...well that's just gritty :rolls eyes: The defense made a play. Unlike last night when Njyer "rolled over" and made it easy on them. Not how I feel, just sayin. The hate for Gomez is unreal sometimes.

All teams have holes. The Brewers really don't have too many. ~ AndThat I don't know why more people don't understand this. While I'll welcome the author to the board, this topic is pretty ridiculous. This isn't the All-Star game. Your team will not overachieve for every man 1 through 25. McGehee has almost singlehandedly been worth 1 win. Gomez has played above average defense in the field. Yeah, Morgan has a fire in his belly and it's been nice to see. Short of some early mistakes by Roenicke handling the bullpen, this team has been pretty good. The offense doesn't need to do any more than what they have been doing. The sooner people realize that not every starter is going to be .300/.390/.800, the sooner they can enjoy the season and quit looking for the falloff.

It's on McGehee's shoulders unfortunately. Baseball 101 there is to not let the tying run come to the plate. Take what is given to you. The runners on 1st and 2nd meant nothing. Yeah, it's nice to get the lead out and keep the force alive for the next play, but you have to take what was given to you and get the out. I don't think the non-call was that egregious. However, the Kotsay non-catch was huge. It advanced everybody in the lineup one more position. I mean, how do you emphatically say that you seen a ball hit the ground when it never happened? I can see it the other way....where you call a catch when you never see it hit the ground yet, it somehow did...but how do you lie the other way around?

Eight 4-team divisions would be fun. I'd even go for 6 playoff spots per league. However, I don't think there is an advantage to having a "bye".

I always buy a new scorebook every season and will fill it out as I watch games either on tv or at the park. Yesterday, around 5:10 eastern time, it ended up being chucked into the garage at hyperspeed. I still haven't had the heart to go find it yet.
