The Reds completely owned Jason Hirsh: 2.2 IP, 9 hits, 10 R all earned, 5 BB, 2 K, 2 HR. Granted this was in Cinci, but ouch. Kyle Lohse is 1-0 with a 1.65 ERA in 4 starts (5 total appearances) since coming over to the Reds.

That was a nice catch to take away 2 RBI. Tonight is the Laynce Nix show featuring Chris Capuano as the good Doug Davis, apparently.

If you're Daron Sutton you do http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I hope we can get something going against Cook tonight. He owned us on July 31st.

Wandy has handled us rather well in his short career (2-0, 3.44 ERA in 3 starts). Hopefully Bush can pitch well and we can get him a couple runs.

My friend and I were discussing the same thing. Plus with Rivera out there running, unless you lay down the perfect bunt, he is out. I knew Ned was going to bunt Hart, just because that's what "the book" tells you to do. It was nice to see Prince's emotion after the W, too. A random note, on the board at MP when they were showing Wheeler's warm up tosses, every time they'd show him throw a pitch they'd cut to a picture of Prince hitting a ball, I thought it was funny and kind of cool.

I win at Ned Yost's life, lol. While at the game I called every move he made before he made it. I even scared myself a bit, I think I've watched a few too many Brewers games this season. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I was glad to see Prince get the walkoff. Billy and Prince got the big pops for the night. Jenks got a 70/30 cheers/boos, but got one of the loudest ovations after his hit.

Oswalt is 50-50 to start tomorrow, and he was supposed to make a decision sometime today according to the Astros site. My friend and I will be going to the game tonight, so hopefully Tomo will throw a good one. My only other trip to MP this season was Bush's first home start against Arizona.

We're down 4, so Turnbow will pitch a 1-2-3 inning.

May as well leave Sheets on the mound now to absorb a Marquis to save the bullpen, lol.
  10. thablingster
He's been high 80's most of the night. I think the highest he has hit is 92.

I think Ned wore out Damian early in the season when he didn't want to play slow roller Moeller, he's hitting right around .200 since the ASB.

I'm glad to see we're not the only staff that walks people with the bases loaded. Where's Mike Rivera? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

David Bell will save us! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif

    Take Geoff, take.

Why does hearing Jenkins bat remind me of Chad Moeller? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  16. thablingster
If Jenkins K's again I think the crowd may come unglued with boos, lol.
  17. thablingster
After his last K, he got a rather large shower of boos. Jim Powell noted how the fans have really been getting on and booing Jenkins overall.
  18. thablingster
If you just now blew a fuse, you have a lot more trust and patience in this team than most of us. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

David Bell will save us! ... did I just say that? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  20. thablingster
The boobirds are out in full force tonight.
  21. thablingster
Jim Powell was saying Sheets is hanging around 89 or so, but that's normal for him the first few innings.
  22. thablingster
They should really bench that Corey Hart guy, he stinks. I like the power stroke http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif .

Milwaukee Brewers Ben Sheets (3-4, 4.98 ) http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060813/capt.8392ef2afb7b42cd90d2b82c0d0fd2e8.brewers_braves_baseball_gags103.jpg Sheets pitched last Saturday at Atlanta, throwing 7 innings of 2 run baseball before running into trouble in the 8th. The bullpen was able to hold off the Braves as Sheets picked up his 4th win this season. Sheets struck out 8 and walked none. vs. Houston Astros Jason Hirsh (0-1, 9.00) http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/images/2006/03/07/URWvSiO2.jpg This will be Hirsh's second career big league start, as he lost his Major League debut against the Padres on Aug. 12 when he surrendered four runs in the fourth inning on three Padres home runs. One of the Astros top prospects, Hirsh has spent most of the season at Triple-A Round Rock, where he went 13-2 with a 2.10 ERA and 118 strikeouts. ... No TV tonight? I guess we'll all be listening to 620, then. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif

I wouldn't disagree with this, but at the same time because we are making more contact than we used to, there will come a point where we're not hitting the ball at people, and the runs will come. At least that is what Doug must be hoping for. It was pretty frustrating every inning when we'd hit into a DP though.

Is it wrong that every hit Mike Rivera gets makes me warm and fuzzy inside?
