Gritty veteran shenanigans are here. I'm guessing Braun probably just needs some time to work back into full games. Looks like his leg was locking up on him a bit. I'm kind of surprised Kotsay didn't start today. We'll see how it goes, though.
Come on, Brewers. Put these road woahs you've been experiencing behind you. Regardless of the starting nine or how many bloop singles the Rockies get, it is time to right the ship.
The Rockies radio announcers are obsessed with errors, apparently. Every game they talk about, they're talking about errors. They did take the time to discuss YuniB's "significant lack of range for a major league shortstop," though.
Rockies radio announcers recounting the Brewers road woes, citing errors and poor defense. They then went on to compare Prince and YuniB to Helton and Tulo to make an example of the poor defense. That's not even fair. LOL.
Happy to have Braun back in the lineup, although if it rains there is a bit of concern about how his calf will react to the potentially slick outfield grass. Too bad we're not playing in a park where he wouldn't have to cover as much ground in LF.
LOL. Axford, K-Rod, Saito, Hawkins, Loe, Braddock, (long man, currently Estrada but interchangeable in my mind) isn't too bad going forward. It would be nice to upgrade at SS or on the bench, but hey, we'll take what we can get.
Another great game to be at, and a 3-0 weekend for the lucky polo (sorry for not being at the game yesterday, lol). I had the honor of enjoying the game with the hawing party this afternoon. Via our relentless optimism we defeated the heat and thoroughly enjoyed the CoCo meltdown. Nice for Craig to get the walk-off SF while mired in his hitting slump. Considering we went 4-4 this week with Braun out it's not a bad thing to go into the break tied for first. Hopefully Braun can get healthy, Prince and Rickie can put on a show in the Home Run Derby and we can come out and play some good ball on the road.
What a game! Coming back from four down, only to drop back, then to win it in the 9th against Cordero is amazing. I was at the game in the (seemingly) lucky polo. I told my friend if we could clear the black hole (5-7) in the 8th I had a good feeling about the 9th. Thankfully for me, two of the three members of the black hole came through. Kotsay giveth, taketh away, and giveth back. Now if only he'd do my laundry so I can wear this polo on Sunday. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Never a doubt. The lucky polo was out in full force, hawing can confirm. Nice to see the Brewers get a win against the Reds. Finish the first half strong. Hopefully the D-Backs can help us out tonight, too.
Well, that lineup dashes any hopes Casey would be sent down in favor of McClendon instead of Gamel later today. Considering both Casey and Yuni are in the lineup as well as Kotsay this looks like a Yostian B-Squad lineup. I'll be out at the park today hoping for the best. Get some runs!
I'm confused by the lack of a Sunday B-Squad lineup, but will take it. Hopefully Narvdog can have a good outing today and we can break up Pavano's hot streak.
