  1. Just wondering are the gas prices affecting Brewerfan.net too like they are the attendence at Miller Park? What 11 pages for a heck of a game like that? We had the chance to go over .500. where is everyone??? Sleeping? What does everyone have to do tomorrow work or school, you can do that any day. I thought it was going to be like that Sheets game against the Angels last year, what 27 pages. Oh what did ESPN say or did not say about the Brewers??
  2. I think the Brewers select Jeff Clement knowing just how hard it is to get a good hitting catcher to play in the majors and they just take a chance that his defense will develop much like they did with weeks when everyone was saying there's no way he'd be able to stick at 2nd. Or they do the same with Braun but I'm sticking with the underdog Clement.
  3. Any one else having fun reading the message boards of the Yankees. Man there's some hilarious stuff in there. People talking about selling their tickets for not winning and stuff like that. I guess its how the Packers fans are going to feel when it starts happening to them.
  4. I still think being underworked is what's killing him.
  5. HELP WANTED!!!! Hitters wanted to fill full-time position at major league stadium...Miller Park. Must be able to competently hit average or below average pitchers. Qualifications include at least 5 years Major League experience the ability to hit with power or average or both. The ability to come through in the clutch is a huge plus!!! Those with awards or honors such as batting average titles or homerun champions are strongly encouraged to apply. Minor Leaguers need not Apply!!!!!!!!
  6. Can someone please get a hit with a runner in scoring position?????? Edit: ask and ye shall recieve!!!!!!
  7. Stars trail 6-5 after Brad Nelson hit a 2 run homer.
  8. I figured that Hendrickson would be starting for Indy tonight considering this is 4 days of rest since wednesday, his last start. Whoever or whomever is pitching tonight is doing a good job so far as Indy is up 1-0 in the 5th. Anyone have any idea who is pitching?
  9. Just had to say runner on 2nd, 1 out in the bottom of the tenth, what do you do, you walk to set up the double play, right? ARRRRR
  10. Also from that article: The Brewers need to reduce concession prices and elevate the quality of what they are selling. Prices here are cheap compared to 90% of other teams. And if you talk about quality of food then why not have a Brat with stadium sauce instead of a pizza??? Who really eats pizza at a baseball game anyway. If you go to Pittsburgh you have a Pirogi, Philadelphia you have a steak and cheese, L.A. you spend half of your earnings on a lobster dinner or something. Here you have a brat, Polish, Italian or even a hot-dog and a beer. Now that's what you call quality.
  11. As of 4 A.M. still not working had to go through the dreaded ESPN message boards to get here.
  12. Here's hoping Sheets can have a 10 strike-out day to silence those who said his 18k game was an aberration due to the shadows. Oh yea, and hoping the Brewers win too, of course!!!!!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  13. If all of the standings were up to date, which I think they were, it puts the organization as a whole at 102-98. Four games over .500, not bad. High Desert is 9 under but compared to where they were last year that's got to be considered a decent start especially since they have contact hitters in a home-run ball park. Huntsville is under achieving right now so I see them taking it up a couple of notches when their starting rotation gets healthy again and the hitters start to fianlly warm up. As long as the Brewers can tread water and High Desert doesn't sink then we should have a great season. It would be great to see the whole franchise over .500 it would really show how far this organization has come.
  14. with the exception of giving up the grand slam he pretty much hung around there. Roy Oswalt had just as many baserunners with the exception that one of his pitches didn't leave the yard at the most unopportune time. I think it was just bad luck on his part for this game. I do see Kinney and Obumeuller being replaced about mid June with Hendricksen and De La Rosa if they dominate AAA. That would give ample time to assess both pitcher's performances up to that point.
  15. The last time the Brewers won on opening day was the 2002 season. So this is the first time the Brewers are over .500 in TWO years!!!!! Way to go!!! It's the first step
  16. Speaking of Germany. What ever happened to that 3rd baseman we signed from there last year?? It was supposed to show how our scouting has broadened from just picking names out of hats (Bando Era).
