  1. I'm not going to worry about a cruddy offensive performance on a getaway day game at the end of a 7 game/6 day road trip.
  2. Last one, I promise... Thanks to the Bears long legacy of quality offensive players.
  3. It's gotta be him or Gamel. Melvin is smart enough to know they need another good bat off the bench for the playoffs
  4. As I pointed out in my previous statement, what happens with De La Cruz after the double header? Are they going to go with an extra guy on the pitching staff the rest of year, or even month? I doubt it.
  5. Um, so the interesting part of this: What's the corresponding move after the DH is over and they send back that Triple AAA pitcher they called up to replace Narveson. Hello Talyor Green?
  6. http://www.zagasi.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/al-harris.jpg
  7. Yeah, not so much. If you haven't already, you got to see the rope-a-dope that the Cards' middle infield played on Campana to double him off first on a pop fly to CF.
  8. Yeah, its easy to forget how rare this run has been. The bats will get going, too many good hitters on this team to be this cold for too long.
  9. I don't have a problem with saving Lopez, but why not just use Yo there to try to a HR?Maybe he realized how dumb it was to PH ZG and let K rod hit the other day and didnt want to put someone like Yo in a position to get hurt.
  10. At first base: John Jaha. ... Jaha.
  11. Awww, I enjoyed your awful analogy. But you know, if you go all in you'd think you'd trade your top pitching prospect for immediate help instead of sitting on him and suspending him after the deadline. Schadenfreude
  12. Only 7.5 back of the Phillies. At least that should be an entertaining race for the best record in the NL.
  13. Hahaha. McGahee, Yuni and Mark Kotsay win it for the Brewers. Too bad CC couldn't get in on the action.
  14. Good thing this is broken. Or maybe yuku anticipated that stupid squeeze play and decided to freeze the site.
  15. Players within the organization on August 31 can be on the playoff roster. It doesn't matter if they're in the minors on that date. A player acquired from another organization after August 31 is ineligible. Nope, players have to be on the 25-man roster, the DL, the bereavement list, or the suspended list as of August 31. Not trying to be snarky, this is an honest question: How did David Price debut in September and pitch in the playoffs in 2008? http://www.baseball-refer...eda01.shtml?mobile=false
  16. Agreed. And how good could our bench look when Gomez and Weeks are back? Hairston, Gomez/Morgan, Kotsay, Counsell, Kottaras/Luc It will have gone from a huge weakness to what I would call above average. Any bench with Kotsay and Counsell can not be considered "Above Average" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Still hoping we see green and gamel swapped for those two at some point.
  17. I can't believe the just disrespected the hottest hitting SS in the league like that. Make em pay!
  18. That's a good point. There's seems like there could be a good strange bedfellows Survivor Series angle coming from all of this.
