  1. I have to say, I thought the constant/daily complaining about the lineups was tiresome, and it never bothered me like it did so many others; but this time, I'm picking my jaw up off the floor seeing this. Me too. But all eyes are on this game. If this doesn't work he's going to get killed by every type of media and baseball fan that ever existed. So, I doubt he'll ever do something this dumb again. But as of now, the series is 1-1 and Game 3 is tied 0-0. So: Let's Go Brewers!
  2. It is what it is. He alluded to the fact that Kotsay might be the guy. yesterday. I don't get it. But at this point in the season, I'm done complaining about lineups. Hopefully it ends up being brilliant. Go Brewers!
  3. This is exactly right. If he leaves Marcum out there to drown again in Game 6, kill RR then. But he only has so many pitchers at his disposal and he's got to at least see if Marcum can get it together.
  4. I live down here, and the people who I am close with and are Cardinals fans are generally awesome. The general fan base is extraordinarily annoying and self-entitled, if that makes sense. People are generally nice when I go to games, but when they find out that we've live here for five years, almost everyone says: "Any you're not a Cardinals fan now?" They're completely serious. I know it's not really insulting, but I find it very insulting for some reason. I lived in Wisconsin for 28 years and never said that to Vikings, Bears, Cubs, etc. fans. I don't get it.
  5. For a town that likes to claim the best fans in baseball thing, they've (fans and media alike) have been acting like jerks all week. I hope Morgan, Prince et. al keep it in control this week because it's going to be nasty in this town the next couple days.
  6. Carpenter has only been lights out in two of his last three starts. One that was the final game of the season against the Astros, and then Game 5 against Philly in which they had a number of warning track shots. I like the Brewers chances.
  7. If you didn't see that Marcum's command was flat-out awful last night, I don't know what to say. For the guy that lectures people on getting caught up in results, that's exactly what you're doing here. Just because most of the Cardinals hitters didn't mash Marcum's poorly located pitches doesn't mean he was just unlucky. Unless he gets removed from the roster, he's starting Game 6. I'm confident that's a scenario that RR will have an early hook and go Johnny Wholestaff.
  8. No, there isn't. I'm not giving up, but given the starts by Wolf, Marcum (2) and Greinke, I'm going to go ahead and say I'm pretty nervous. Yo is the only one not getting tagged. Greinke had a less than average outings by his standards, Wolf? Marcum? No need for me to tell you what happened to them is there? How do you beat a team with basically 1.75 starters? If you don't score 15 runs a game you are in trouble. The end of hot streaks and cold streaks seem completely unpredictable. I know everyone says Marcum is spent, yada, yada, yada. The crazy August run ended for the Brewers at some point, the crazy run for the Cardinals could very well end Tuesday. It's not even like the Brewers are down in the series yet. This team has been very resilient all year. I'm not tremendously confident, but I still believe.
  9. Since 2004 pitchers in the playoffs on three days rest: Teams have a W-L record of 9-14 (with the pitchers going 6-6). SPs have an ERA of 4.86 with a slash line of .263/.372/.419 http://blogs.delawareonli...est-wont-help-carpenter/ No thanks. Marcum has stunk, but he's going to start Game 6 with Narv and Estrada backing him up. Get used it it. But let's seem them get it that far first.
  10. I was at that game. Nicest anyone in St. Louis has ever been to us about being Brewers fans. They had all given up all playoff hopes after that game. Now every bandwagon fan is coming out of the wordwork down here. Yuck.
  11. You don't even need to light him up. Just score a couple. Yo is very capable, has he's already proven this postseason. Sucky game, but I'm not giving up hope yet. Go Brewers!
  12. You might have more luck on the jsonline blogs. They'll take you're bait. Good luck to the Cardinals the rest of the series.
  13. You need to catch up to "live." I had just pulled up gameday after getting dinner. Made it look like he went 1-2-3 Instead of Theriot getting a hit.
  14. And then esteada comes back and throws that inning. Geez.
  15. You must hate t Brewers because this is how they play baseball.
  16. They need a lot more than a run scoring triple. Who's coming in? Rhodes or Scrabble?
  17. Haha, if you want to give him a ticket for blowing that red light, I'll pay the fine.
  18. Had to put it on mute, and I never do that. God I hate the Cards.
  19. Don't forget that Yo is pitching too. 99 percent seems a bit high.
  20. Yeah, and brewers are horrible about expanding their zones in this situation.
