  1. I had thought that Theriot fouled the pitch off, but after seeing the replay, the ball was in fair territory. Len Kasper pulled out the rulebook and came to the conclusion that it was the right call, and Brenley was forced to eat crow...nice. Didn't stop him from going on a tangent about how MLB is getting close to becoming the NFL with all the ump meetings on close calls.
  2. I can't remember when an entire crew of umps was as bad as they were for this series, but at least they've been equally bad.
  3. On WGN, Bob Brenley is complimenting Cub fans for sticking with the rainy conditions last night. Seats looked pretty empty to me once it started to pour, and there were a lot more "Let's Go Brewers" chants than "Let's Go Cubbies".
  4. I especially liked this post from NorthSideBaseball: Hopefully we get a rainout. Heck, hopefully we'll get a rainouts until next spring.
  5. Hopefully a slick ball won't affect Benny's curve as much as it looked like it affected Turnbow's last night.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't CoCo lead the league in saves now?
  7. Crap...slippery grass bites Mench in the butt. Enter CoCo?
  8. Derrick just had to make things interesting, didn't he??
  9. Can we start calling Wrigley "Miller South"? The Brewers win there more than the Cubs do. Edit: Is it just me or did the strike zone get considerably bigger once Eyre loaded the bases?
  10. Heckuva game pitched by Soup...gotta think he's done with the pitcher spot due second in the top of the 9th. Edit: Scott Eyre's in! This is like Christmas!
  11. Corey seems awfully good at those "Throw the bat at the ball and go the opposite way" kinds of hits. Not that I'm complaining. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  12. Who are the cubs going to throw out to pitch tommorow? I believe it'll be Ted Lilly.
  13. Looking like it'll be Shousey in the bottom half of the 8th.
  14. Prince loves playing the Cubs.
  15. J.J. is so dreamy when he turns those unassisted, bases-loaded double plays.
  16. Villy's big, slow curveball to Soriano in the Top of the 9th was also on the new "That's Nasty" part of the show. I loved how he just flicked it up there at about 68 mph and it had Soriano dodging out of the way, only for it to be a strike.
  17. I know it's April, but it's games like these that make me believe this is the Brewers' year. They had no business winning this game, and they fought back to win it. Not bad for a bunch of kids, huh?
  18. YES!!! CARLOS ROCKS! Alright, so he struck out another pitcher, but Marquis hits well for a pitcher.
  19. *exhale* That was a little too close for comfort, but Carlos is really settling down.
  20. Lee Ramirez Jones I have a *really* bad feeling about this half inning.
  21. You know you have a chance when the Cubs announcers are talking about using Jason Marquis as a position player in extra innings.
  22. Tomorrow's game should be interesting considering how both teams are going through their bullpens like it's nothing tonight. With that said, I have a bad feeling about the bottom of the 9th.
  23. W-O-W. Two game-saving catches in the same inning...of course, they won't make web jems tonight because the Yankees turned a double play against the Devil Rays.
