  1. Brian's House in after Spurling faces one batter...that's the way I'd like to see most of Spurling's appearances go from now on.
  2. Time for Rickie to break out of his slump.
  3. Oh no...FSN Houston just showed Spurling getting ready in the pen.
  4. Right now this game is screaming "Complete Game Shutout".
  5. Cappy's done a good job after a rocky start, but now is the time I start to get worried -- he's through 5 innings. Has he been able to get through the 6th in any of his starts yet?
  6. I really like how good JJ is at going to his left...it's getting to the point where I'm surprised if he doesn't get anything hit up the middle.
  7. Counsell up with the bases loaded...it'd be nice to get at least one out of this.
  8. This may explain the lefty-heavy batting order...according to FSN Houston, this year lefties are hitting .288 against Oswalt, while righties are hitting .186.
  9. Nice heads-up play by Gross there.
  10. Cappy walks Adam freaking Everett on four pitches?? Yeesh...not his night.
  11. I can't blame Geoff for trying for two there...Carlos isn't exactly known for having a cannon, but he did get to that ball quicker than I would have expected.
  12. To paraphrase Mugatu from Zoolander: "JJ Hardy...so hot right now. So hot." Tim McClelland makes Prince Fielder look like a dwarf.
  13. I'm going to say that Carlos Lee will hit 12 HR's in Houston's Little League park tonight, but it'll be a Craig Biggio popfly HR into the Crawford Boxes that will beat the Brewers in the bottom of the 9th.
  14. Hardy-Fielder-Hall due up...let's get 2 more runs back.
  15. Seeing Matt Wise pitch in the 5th freaking inning, I can't say I'd be oppposed to having Yo in the bullpen. Of course, Wise is only pitching in the 5th because of bad luck...it's really sucky luck when Benny has to finish early two days after Villanueva pitched like 5 innings.
  16. Someone should tell the Brewers that the chipping away thing only works if you stop giving up runs.
  17. Dessens stinks, but just chip away at the lead a couple runs at a time and the Brewers will be back in it, especially with the Cubs' bullpen as bad as it is.
  18. Len Kasper says right groin strain for Benny. Edit: Leadoff walk for Dessens. I have a feeling the Win Expectency for the Brewers just dropped to like -3000%.
  19. Aside from his 3 HR's this series, Prince hasn't looked all that great, either. The Brewers are lucky they're playing the Cubs...not sure if they'll be able to get that lucky against Houston.
  20. The Brewers have been unbelievably lucky with all the middle infield grounders this series. I lost count at how many rallies J.J. has killed the past few games by turning double plays.
  21. Ha...Theriot had no clue Sheets was covering third once that ball got past Rickie.
  22. Cliff Floyd doing his best Josh Willingham impression on that play...totally didn't expect him to get to that one considering the puddles he had to run through to get to it.
