  1. Wow...Bay crushed that one. Has it ever been revealed why the heck he's hitting 5th for the Bucs this year? Bill just said that's #100 on the career for Bay...Brewers give up another milestone HR. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. So we've graduated from must-wins to must-sweeps this early? Wow. I'd hate to see what it's like in July...will the Brewers "have" to sweep entire road trips or homestands by then? While the Pirates have given the Brewers fits lately, at least this mini-series is at Miller and not PNC Park from Hell.
  3. Would-a, could-a, should-a. Disappointing loss, but as it's been said before, there's not much Yost could do considering most of the damage occurred before relief for Aquino would be ready. This loss bites (especially going down with a whimper against Coffey in the ninth), but the road trip as a whole wasn't too bad compared to the performances on the road last year. Never thought I would say this, but the Pittsburgh series is going to be extremely important as far as falling into an early-season losing streak is concerned. I'm not too worried as long as the Brewers stay within a game of the .500 mark, but losing both games to the Pirates could possibly throw this team into a big slump heading into the Houston series and the return of El Caballo.
  4. Would've been nice if Jenks didn't lead off that inning by trying to hit a solo HR and flying out. Nice play by Josh Hamilton to end the inning...I hate him for it tonight, but he's turning out to be a nice player.
  5. And then Aquino almost throws away the last out by lobbing it underhand to Prince...wow. Let's just hope the trend of scoring the half inning after Cincy scores continues. And that Todd Coffey is available.
  6. Ugh. And Aquino is still in. Is anybody warming up at all??
  7. Great quote by Jeff Brantley on FSN Ohio... "Awfully hard to throw a strike with your right hand when your left hand is around your neck" Edit: Ball 12...
  8. Aquino'ed again...wild pitch advances the runners. Jeez.
  9. Oh crap...2 on and no out for Dunn. Not good at all.
  10. Brian's House coming in for CV the Younger after Freel's leadoff hit. As for Freel, I think Brewer fans are going to start saying his name like Jerry Seinfeld says "Newman."
  11. Wow...listening to Thom Brennaman, you would think the Reds were the worst team in baseball. That last inning he ripped into the Reds batters, and he's been down on their defense all series.
  12. Got the lead back this inning at least. Thom Brennaman made the point that whenever the Reds have scored, the Brewers have scored the next half inning. Who's coming in to pitch for the Crew? FSN Ohio stinks at telling the viewers who's coming out of the bullpen until they actually finish their warmups.
  13. Looked like Hardy slipped while he was going back...yikes. At least they got the out at 2nd. Nice sliding catch by Hall for the second out.
  14. Nice running grab on a slicing ball hit to center...reminds me of the one in Florida that went off his glove. Brantley complimented him on the play, too, saying if it's not Bill Hall in CF, that ball was rolling to the wall.
  15. The Reds aren't *that* bad against lefties that I'd want Davis back. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  16. Considering how horrible the Reds are against lefties, it's a shame Cappy is the only lefty in the Brewers' rotation. Let's call up Zach Jackson just for a start against the Reds. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. What, no home runs for Braun last night?? Dude must be losing his touch.
  18. Todd Coffey is my favorite Red. Didn't the Brewers get like 12 walkoffs off of him last year??
  19. Now that's how you bust out of a slump.
  20. Oh wow...broken bat bloop too high for Weeks to reach, but for whatever reason the ump called the infield fly rule. While it's better than 4-1 with no one out, I have to say that's an iffy call.
  21. This is starting to look like Cappy's start against the Cubs...cruising through the first 5 innings, then hitting a big jam in the start of the 6th...bases loaded after the unlucky infield hit from Adam Dunn. If the shift isn't on, the Brewers probably have a double play there.
  22. Alright, Hitman! Pretty piece of hitting, going opposite field down the line. Edit: Now it looks like they're intentionally walking Graffy to get to Cappy, meaning the Brewers will also clear the pitcher's spot this inning...cool.
