  1. I'll take Braun in the fourth of the first game.
  2. Adam McCalvy is on WSSP right now, and he gave the impression that the Brewers REALLY want this game to be played if there is any chance at all (Rotation issues could be looming otherwise). This thing will be played! I'm with Buckytuba on this one, second storm staying south!
  3. I'm thinking the rain will clear the area by 1230/100 o'clock. Slight delay, and then get this thing in! I would imagine with everything the Cubs have planned, and how many people are already around, they will do anything physically possible to get this game in today. Let's play some baseball!
  4. I took off this afternoon, I'm using a day Wednesday as well to head down to Chicago, and I'm off Friday. I feel like I have been waiting for this way too long.
  5. Any word on this? If they are still available and we can work something out, I would like to make plans tonight, keep me posted, thanks!
  6. I have some interest as my schedule has changed a bit, PM me with details of pricing/trades or what you are looking for. Thanks!
  7. Haha, Martins are fantastic. A great guitar in your price range for your level of play (from what I gather) would be an Alvarez. Wade's guitar on Oakland has a nice line of Alvarez guitars, and would definitely give my full recommendation towards one of them.
  8. I have been done for a little while now with the Blues, I took a job back in Milwaukee to be closer with friends and to honestly have the ability to go to more Brewers games. But, I was in the Front office doing marketing/sales. They have a pretty interesting FO setup, as it's not like most other pro sports franchises. It is much much more personal, as even if you are not in sales, you are supposed to know and have contact with many members of the general public. Andy Murray is easily the most accessible Head Coach in any sport I've ever met. The Note constantly has open practices, and has a huge re-investment with the community. This is probably why they draw over 17,000 a game for a .500 hockey club.
  9. Yea, love the Blue Note, can't stand Nashville. (And Detroit, Chicago, and Montreal). There are so many good young players in the league right now, I really wish they could get off of VS network, and land a decent TV deal. TSN in Canada has excellent hockey coverage, but you can only get it on the dishes. Watch out for the Blues in a few years by the way, good core of young talent. With Eric Johnson finally getting to the league after what seemed like forever of a wait, and TJ Oshie just finishing up college, things could get good once they join Brad Boyes and Andy McDonald. I tell ya...
  10. Haha, fair enough. Just in comparison, games at the UC are not the same as any other arena. (Working for the St. Louis Blues might have something to do with this feeling http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif )
  11. Still had over 70k in Buffalo for the Pittsburgh game. Far more entertaining than one of the 4,000 college bowl games. One thing I really enjoy about the NHL is how the athletes don't seem to have the "I'm bigger than earth" egos and attitudes. It really is a great game, visit an NHL city (not named Chicago) and you will fall in love with the game.
  12. Hockey is really struggling though, only 19,500 witnessed the Caron save.
  13. I just checked the website and it says it doesn't exist? What are the details of the club?
  14. I know, I have been wondering the same thing, I haven't gotten an email, and still need just ONE ticket!
  15. Great post billyhallfan. Attendance wise this year hockey is on a massive come back. Rather than trash hockey as something that shouldn't be considered a "legitimate sport," why not take the time to do some research about the game, and learn what it's all about. Hockey players are regarded as some of the best hand-eye coordinated athletes around. Being ignorant about something you don't know about just drives me nuts.
  16. Anybody out there able to help?
  17. OK, I can't get any, had nothing in my email, nothing. I need A ticket for opening day, I don't care if it's SRO. If I could get two I would do it in a second, would anyone be willing to pick a couple up for me who has the opportunity to do such?
  18. Which is why I said "decisions LIKE" implying that there are many, many, decisions that people here rip him only for that are made by others in the organization. It's probably the lone thing that drives me nuts about things like talk radio. People think he is like the Stalin of baseball, and should be blamed 100% for every bad decision that gets made.
  19. I'm pretty sure they have already said whoever is not kept will be released. AAA is not an option for either catcher.
  20. I think that WAS determined, by management, which is what matters as of now.
  21. I caught that too, he didn't say with Munson. Also sidenoted, for everyone who believe Ned Yost makes all the game decisions ever made and should be blamed for everything because he rules with an iron fist, decisions LIKE batting the catcher 9th come from a collective goup decision making process.
  22. Interesting note number one... Melvin has been attempting to trade Vargas for "7-10 days" and Claudio has already spent 2 full days on waivers with no claim made.
  23. When I play The Show 08 on my new HDTV, there is a definite delay. Is there anyway to fix this? Guitar Hero asks me if I want to fix it, is there any way around it with the other games?
  24. I think he went to far in trying to make up for the typical "undervaluing" of defense. I could see Braun for example being 14th last season while playing third, but now that he's hidden in LF IMO he's easily a top 7 young player. I just can't wrap my head around how he put Prince down at 40. It's almost criminal.
