  1. I'm ok with Weeks in leadoff today. I know it's small samples, but since Weeks has come back healthy (July 13th) his OBP is .364 Corey Hart's over that same time is .245. Furthermore, expanding Corey's out to July 1, Hart's OBP is only .235 All in all, I'm cool with this lineup.
  2. I have 3 somewhere from when I lived there, I bought them, was at the entire series, hated living there, and moved back. I will look tonight to try and find them, and if I do we can work something out, I get off work around 4 so I'll let you know on here sometime this evening. Hope that helps.
  3. I lived a breif stint in STL and flew on that same jet about 7 or 8 times, use the one seat side, it's nice to have your own area. If you are flying from west to east on the small jet like that, it's good to know too the flights are very very short. We made it from STL to MKE on trip in 38 minutes. It was awesome.
  4. My personal highlight from the night was when my girlfriend woke up from her nap, looked at the TV to see it 4-0 and said "Suppan was really worth the 10 million, awesome." And she fell right back asleep in about 30 seconds without saying another word. Haha
  5. Sorry my venting isn't up to par http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  6. Just to elaborate a little bit further.... Corey Hart said today on 1250 that no decision is made by just one coach. I know Ned ultimately signs the lineup card, but we can't forget so fast the dang near everything he does goes through the rest of his staff. Regardless of who's idea this lineup was, Dale, Ed, and Nick all agreed to this as well. As I'm typing this Suppan is still making his bid to win the ESPY for "Bust of the season, any sport". I thought Ted Lilly was the shoe-in, but boy was I off. On a completely related note, I wouldn't be surprised if ESPN actually gave an award like that, they seem to for everything else.
  7. I gotta say, this is the most disappointed I've been in a long time. Suppan sure doesn't seem to have a sense "pennant race" urgency, and this lineup couldn't be most HS teams. Any confidence that was built last night by winning a close game on the road has just been absolutely crushed by trotting this crap on the field. Melvin trading for Linebrink shows a "win now" attitude, but I don't buy it on the field for one second. This is the worst I've seen this year, BY FAR!
  8. For a team with a struggling offense I find it hard to believe the remedy is putting a line up out there that makes Kyle Lohse look like Cy Young.
  9. Corey Hart just said in a Sportsradio 1250 interview that Bill Hall IS in the lineup tonight. Still though, no corresponding roster move annouced yet. My bet is TGJ however.
  10. They said on the broadcast last night that he was already enroute to Cincy. I wonder if Melvin is trying to pull off a trade to pass Balfour for other releif help?
  11. So far this year Yo has thrown 118 innings, the Crew has 62 more regular season games this year, and Yo should have roughly 52 innings left to keep the pace they want him on. So that would figure to be roughly 12 more starts this year, so I'm thinking if they skipped Yo for about 2 starts, maybe 3 he could remain in the rotation. That's assuming roughly 6 innings per start. All in all, if he's the number 5, and could even be skipped a couple times due to scheduling, he could remain in the rotation when Sheets returns! Any thoughts/comments?
  12. Zambrano at 102 pitches and hits for himself. Does Lou have a direct line to Dusty?!
  13. Turnbow was due for one of those, and Villy needed one of those as well. NICE!!!
  14. I can not hit HR's at the MLB level, any trick to this? I'm definitely stumped.
  15. OK, so opponents are hitting .301 against Belisle, and he gives up a boatload of HR's. Let's get to him early!
  16. I just don't think I can handle another 0-4 out of Jenkins. It's another righty tonight, so Jenks should be able to make contact with something other than his leg, shouldn't he?
  17. Tonights lineup folks, per Sportsradio 1250. Weeks Counsell Braun Fielder Mench Jenkins Miller Gwynn Gallardo
  18. Yea, tipping the upcoming play would be pretty obvious, I didn't really think of that right away, but had realized it as I was reading what you wrote. I've been through this game what seems like hundreds of times in my head, and still can not figure out a single reason why Estrada shouldn't be made an example of over the next couple days. I just want to see a couple big wins now in a row over the Redlegs. Just take the next 3 and walk with this four game set.
  19. I wouldn't have minded seeing that happen, but well all know how the Brewers staff feels about bunting, let alone in a squeeze situation. Would it have been better to pinch run Gwynn for Hardy in that situation (or Weeks for that matter) and try the squeeze with Mench or Gwynn? Note I do not remember exactally off hand who had been used/hadn't at this point, and can't really look it up as it seems majority of sites at work are blocked
  20. While I'm glad this sets up Braun for ROY, I really wish Pence didn't get hurt. I wanted Braun to win that thing flat out. Now people will say "Who knows what would have happened if Pence was healthy" and stuff along those lines. It was becoming so obvious Braun was having the better rookie campaign, it's kind of too bad for baseball there's not two young guns to create a good buzz around the league.
  21. SOMEONE TELL SPARKY TO PUT A CORK IN IT. I HOPE YOU READ THAT SPARKY, ALL YOU DO IS WHINE, NED'S THE MANAGER, GET USED TO IT. GO HOME AND COMPLAIN TO SOMEONE WHO CAN TOLERATE YOUR POINTLESS WIND.
  22. Hey, all in good fun!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif (minus the loss obviously).
