  1. I heard Coshun saying that too Peavy. He sure made it sound like Sheeter was going to be out up to 6 weeks http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif If that's the case, the Crew NEEDS to add an arm somewhere.
  2. LOOGY stands for Lefty One Out Guy
  3. Who cares what he was last season, look at his numbers from July 1 last year through now. The team is something like 12-20 in his starts, he's lasted 6 innings just 9 times, and he is giving up boatloads of earned runs. Vargas somehow wiggles off the hook, and while he's not here as a long term solution, in my eyes, he offers more right now than what Cappy does. Give your team a chance to win, that's what it's all about right? Over the past year, wether people want to admit it or not, Cappy hasn't exactally done that on a regular basis.
  4. I don't recall seeing this mentioned anywhere, but the quest to move Cappy from the rotation for an outside player might not even be necessary. Wouldn't it make sense to add Cappy as our left handed bullpen arm while Gallardo makes Cappys starts? Worst case scenario is Cappy falters in the pen as he has been doing in the rotation. If Cappy works out the struggles, look at the left handed arm that was added right from within. I don't know, I just haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, I think the solution to a couple of these "problems" could be right in front of everyone's eyes.
  5. For the record, I wouldn't ACTUALLY deface the ball, I meant it to be a temptation, and to show my hatred for what I feel he has been a part of; a big red flag almost next to the entire mystique of the home run for a few years. I think players like Prince Fielder, and Vladdy, and Travis Hafner have been so good for baseball to show someone succeed without that tainted thought of what has been all but proved to have happen. That being said, I would probably sit on the ball for a month or two, and then either give it straight to the HOF with hopes of some compensation, or if money became a dire need, go the auction route.
  6. What would you do, if you caught number 756? I would hold it for a little while, seeing as I can't stand Bonds, and I honestly don't think him hitting it would benefit the game in any way, I would even be tempted to write something like "steroids" right on the ball. Anyway, interested to see what you guys/gals would do if you caught number 756!
  7. That is the same boob grab I was asking about earlier in the thread. She was none to happy about the whole grabbing.
  8. Anyone else catch that boob grab coming back from commercial?!
  9. At this point, wouldn't you think it would be a power situation and Gross would be batting? He has clearly fallen out in that dugout, I think it's time to move him.
  10. Off Topic: Did anyone else notice that shot of Milwaukee didn't have Kilbourn Tower or University Club Tower in it? Would WMLW use that old of a canned shot?
  11. Do they keep a stat on stolen base success rates with regard to what the hitters count is? I know there are situations you do/don't run, however I was curious as to what percent of the time it comes back to burn you. I.E. getting caught, in situations you are traditionally supposed to/not supposed to run. Thanks in advance if someone can track this down!
  12. Random thought, but I honestly don't think I've seen another player ever, finish out a swing like Braun. He is so smooth through the zone and equally as crucial, after he clears the zone. Very fun to watch.
  13. That's actually what I flipped to before you typed that! USARPS, who'd have thought.
  14. I can't stand the Cubs, or listening to Fox's broadcasters. Can't wait for the crew to go get one tonight and make this game irrelevant. As I'm typing this Oswalt is hosed again.
  15. --"Front runner, obviously for ROY" --"Could be the first Astro to win the Batting Title" Remind me to mute my tv when he comes up. If there was a emoticon getting sick I would type it right now.
  16. 1-0 'Stros; tune in if you dare, it's the official Hunter Pence love fest early in the broadcast. They basically gave him ROY, I hear the Brewers have some decent kid named Braun?
  17. I think we were watching different games, I thought Yost did an excellent job of getting Cappy out of there early. He was at what, 67 pitches and got yanked after 3 complete? And as for Villanueva, next time maybe that crystal ball will do a better job of predicting home runs. Edited for Blue Font
  18. Around the 7th inning, everyone on the first base side was standing and looking down towards section 115/116. It lasted for almost the entire inning and it looked as if police and paramedic had rushed over. We were all concerned, and couldn't see very well in 102, hope all was well over there.
  19. I think as was mentioned in a different thread, I think Cappy was chosen as Sheets threw in the All-Star game, and it was his normal 5 days rest to start. Which makes sense for a SP coming off the DL.
  20. Personally, I'm sick of watching, or not watching for that matter, Yo spoil out in the pen. At least get the kid a start here and there, he can't do any worse than What Cappy's done since last July. Not to mention he could be developing even further down in AAA if he's just going to sit in the Crew's pen and waste. After further review mods feel free to move this to the vent thread if you so please.
  21. Ultimately, there are a few things that shouldn't go over looked with regard to Capuano's pitching performances. As was discussed the other day, ERA can be a poor judge of a pitchers performance or effectiveness, however I think a few of these things should be looked at.... Since 07/01/06.... Team's record when Cappy starts: 12-20 Cappy's personal W/L: 7-15 And finally, In his past 32 starts, which is dating back to July 1 of last season, Cappy has lasted past the 6th inning just 9 times. It should be noted the reason I chose July 1 as a start date, and didn't include his first half from last year, is we all know he's a fast starter, and the arguments have been made on numbers since last all-star break. I think he's had his chances, change has to be made or we'll simply be accepting below average performance.
  22. I agree Rluz, look how Boston handled Lugo, by letting him work through his slump. Although his numbers don't show it, he's been much better of late. Comparing Rickie's struggles to those of Lugo aren't even close. I've been frustrated with Rickie a lot lately too, however you just can't give up on him yet (if he's healthy).
  23. Sent you a PM for the Wed. Arizona game.
  24. I haven't seen the singing bee, to be honest with you, I've never even heard of it. I'm not a big TV guy, but seeing as there was no baseball on last night, I stumbled into "Don't forget the Lyrics" Wayne Brady, who I usually can't stand, was actually pretty funny hosting last night, I recommend tuning in if you get the chance.
