  1. Brain and Bill said he looked at it and STILL refused to change it. My dad was official scorer for an A-ball club for many years, and he got abuse even at that level, so it's a tough job. But he was 10 times better than this clown.
  2. I guess I don't see where "deserve" enters into the equation. Either it's a no-hitter or not, based on the rules of the game. I don't think guys/teams who pitch no-hitters but give up runs or a whole lot of ruuners in scoring position "deserve" it either, but they still count.
  3. Bernman, Are you arguing that an error by the pitcher should count as a hit? It was a poor scoring decision when made, and worse upon further review. Leave it to Pittsburgh to screw their own fans out of the ony remarkable thing they could see at that park all season
  4. After that fly out I think 30 of the 60 people at the game got up to leave.
  5. Someone has a pretty powerful ball magnet out in teh bullpen tonight. Sheesh.
  6. Ture. I was only looking at weekends were there might be football conflict.
  7. A quick look at the schedule reveals only 1 more WMLW game (@CIN) so that is a bit of a relief.
  8. There is a college football game on later tonight. IIRC, they preempted teh WMLW games on FSN last year under these circumstances as well.
  9. It's not on the RSN alternate channel on DirecTV here, either
  10. For teh record, it wasn't three straight two baggers. It was two doubles and a stupid attempt to get an out at the plate, which advanced the lead run to second with nobody out.
  11. It's not over, but if this ends badly I don't at all like the idea of going into PNC Park on the heels of this. Sure the Pirates stink, but I don't think this club is beyond finding ways to stink it up on occasion, especially with Bush and Suppan seemingly being too good to be true lately.
  12. I think it had less to do with Villanueva and more to do with Riske.
  13. WHat's really dumb is not just throwing the ball to second there.
  14. In short, Carlos let out a whoop after getting out of the mess. Prince Albert didn't like it, and from all the way over in the on-deck circle took a few steps toward the field to yell at CV. Prince was only just in the area, being there chasing the pop-up. No real action with Prince.
  15. That's the girliest flip to first that I've ever seen at the major league level.
  16. Bill is right. Cardinals and their baseball royalty attitude getting old, fast.
  17. Umps haven't screwed the Crew so far. (Knocking on wood)
  18. I don't ask for much, but I really want the Crew to not blow this one late.
  19. Amen AJAY. No time to get drawn into that. Either the lesson has been learned from last year or Ned is not so bright.
  20. The ultimate unclassy response here is to be up 8-0 going into the bottom of the 9th, then have everyone but the pitcher and catcher take their position with shirts already untucked.
  21. This has to be excruciating for Cards fans so far. Sure there were two doubles, but has to seem more like death by a thousand cuts.
  22. I know it only just seems like Prince hasn't come through in that situation for quite a while. RIght, it just seems that way?
  23. Yep. Let's put the hammer down and run that WC lead way up. Have a good weekend and then put the beat down on the Mets, too.
