  1. Yes, thhe Twins WS winning years had more boomers. But they still had guys getting a lot of infield hits and playing small ball. Even more so in their recent playoff teams. And these Twins can score without hitting homers. That's why they have as many runs as the Brewers tonight, who can't seem to score any other way. And the Twins have outscored the Brewers on the year. (Granted, they have the DH to play with)
  2. If Weeks is lost, what is Prince? Sure he got robbed last time up, but it's not like that was a rope that he hit, either.
  3. Crew needs more runs, or this will proabably end badly.
  4. Gotta get 1 more out. Twins pen has ben very tough lately.
  5. Home Run Derby at the Dome. I'm just thankful Turnbow isn't here for Yost to try to pull off a 2-inning save yet again.
  6. That kind of lame baseball has won the Twins multiple Worlds Series and even more division titles in the time it has taken the Brewers to put up 2 winning seasons.
  7. Looking for my blood pressure medication. At this point will be happy to get out of this inning tied.
  8. Rickie looked good in Atlanta, but looks like he's jumping at pitches again tonight. Showed a good eye in the middle of that AB, but his swings in both ABs have not looked good.
  9. That makes me feel better. I think that would have even cleared the old plexiglass.
  10. I really hate how this team just plain looks bad against the Twins far too often. Not conceding anything yet, but it is a sore point for me.
  11. This isn't looking good at all. McClung's control is WAY off. And Prince's current slump continues. Can't get too far behind in this one.
  12. OK, what number is going to have to be posted to win this thing? It may be a good night to be the 21 promotion contestant on the radio broadcast.
  13. The Crew will score again next inning. The key is for DiFelice to post a 0 in his half.
  14. Yeah, I'm sure Soup just figured he'd take the night off. He was competing, he just couldn't get it done. Credit Baltimore for hitting some decent pitches early, and denting Soup's approach a bit. He just wasn't able to control the edges, so he wasn't going to get calls out there. Then he had to come in, and the O's did what they needed to do. The Jays may well have popped so of those pitches up over teh past few says.
  15. Huge out by DiFelice. At least this gives them a reasonable chance to fight back, provided they don't go i100% into Brewer-swing-for-the-fence mode.
  16. This just sucks. I guess every team can't be as offensively inept as Toronto.
  17. Isn't it just precious watching Eckstein make that T-Ball league throw over to first on plays like that?
  18. If this were a Packer game, everyone would guess that this was a Gold Package crowd.
  19. That guy was pitching pretty tough. Don't konw that it made any difference which guy hit in that spot. Probably a good move by Ned, regardless of result.
  20. I don't know how much of that was Hall being booed for being Hall, and how much it was for him not being Branyan.
  21. Yeah, I'm sure he'll be fine too. When I say struggling, I mean only by his own very high standards. Not to compare him to Tiger Woods, but a struggle for Braun at the plate seems to be better than most guys best.
  22. Braunie has, at least to my eyes, been struggling quite a bit recently. Something is definitely different in his approach since the run that got his BA up close to .300
