  1. Hey FSN, this is a Brewer game. Try showing Brewer fans in your crowd shots.
  2. Yep. And players that continue to make errors in critical situations need to be on the bench in critical situations. The nice thing about sports is that it's supposed to be about production, but that rule doesn't seem to apply to professional sports in Wisconsin.
  3. And he should, but it doesn't put the score back to the right.
  4. I guess doing it only once in the pivotal inning yesterday just wasn't good enough for Richie.
  5. Looking at this list only reaffirms what a feat 3,000 hits really is.
  6. Bruce, I just Vented that same sentiment. I hope all those season ticket fan's TVs went dead just before this half-inning, too.
  7. I was half convinced that the malignant dwarf was going to dive into CC's knees there.
  8. Recurring vent brought on by especially heavy symptoms during the Cub series: The Brewers have to be one of the worst teams in the league in terms of allowing opposing fans to sit right behind home plate. The seat behind the plate are gold. I don't care what the team can get for those seats in terms of revenue: it's worth more to have Brewers fans there than Cubs fans or Reds fans or Cardinals fans back there virtually every game. Give those seats to local Little Leagues. Or Boys and Girls Clubs. Or Boy and Girl Scout troops. Just make sure that the people there are Brewer fans. I don't want to see oposing fans down there whooping it up. Ever. Amd shame on the season ticket holders who sell out their seats way down low in series like this. If you have the scratch to buy seats down near the Doorman, you don't need to be lining your pockets at times like this. I don't care if that's how you finance you season tix. If you're selling out, I call shenanigans on your fandom. It's not that hard to find other Brewer fans who would love to take those seats. Sure you might not make the same in resale, but again, if that's your first priority, I call shenanigans on your "fandom" I don't want to see you in those seats when the playoffs come around.
  9. Twins never play well in NY. And, if anyone has been paying attention, the Yanks are still pretty good. Don't understand the anti-Twins sentiment here. Sure, they beat the Crew when teh Brewers we're playing especially well. But if the Brewers hadn't struck gold in the draft, the Twins are exactly the kind of team I'd want the Brewers to be.
  10. Still a month away, but here are the highligts of the schedules for the NL's current bg four down the stretch run: End Aug/September Scheds: Brewers 3 vs NYM 4 @ PHI 3 @ CHI Close out year with 3 vs CHI Cubs 4 vs PHI 3 @STL 3 vs MIL 3 vs STL 4 @ NYM 3 @ MIL Mets 3 @ FLA 3 @ MIL 3 vs PHI 3 vs CHI 3 vs FLA Phillies 4 @ CHI 3 @ NYM 3 vs FLA 4 vs MIL 3 @ FLA The Cards and Marlins still aren't out of it either as they get plenty of shots in here too.
  11. Big difference is that BA said 'IF'. Cards had alredy set something in stone. Still, on edge for the 9th.
  12. Two games in STL in late August I think.
  13. Anyone else think Braunie is going to be eating a pitch next time the Crew goes into St Louis?
  14. Is Wednesday Night Baseball a 'protected' national TV package game in that it is broadcast to all markets? Or will it be blacked out in local markets and available everywhere else, with local markets getting the local RSN coverage? I can't remember the last time the Brewers were on in the Wednesday night slot. Wednesday is scheduled to be a Parra start, correct?
  15. Bumped for futher discussion. Happily bumped.
  16. While I think any talk of the Brewers being "out of it"by the end of July is certifiably insane, I am also tired of the talk that the Wildcard should be the focus. Settle for second-best and that's the best you'll ever be. This team has blown a golden opportunity this homestand. I don't give a hoot how many games in a row they hit home runs. This team simply isn't very good offensively in a broad sense. They can be explosive and they can be exciting, but they sure aren't efficient. I guess efficiency only works for "lucky" teams like the Twins and Cubs.
  17. If he doesn't we get to stew on probably being a full 7 GB all the way until Friday. And then the Brewers get to hit the road with a nice trip and then close the month with some very high leverage series.
  18. I'm tired of "the Reds are playing good baseball" schtik. They just got thier behinds beat in Chicago. Man up and get it done, Crew. If you want to be in the playoffs, Crew, it doesn't matter if the other guys are good. You have to be better, and right now you aren't.
  19. Coco again gets to face the tough part of the order.
  20. I know how Reds fans are feeling right now, as it's something we Brewer fans have gotten used to. Jump out to a lead, add on nothing against a bottom of the rotation guy, and hope your top of the rotation guy doesn't lose out on what should probably be a win. I know Manny Parra, for one, has no sympathy.
  21. OK, this worked last night (temporarily, anyway): Right field, Braunie
