  1. I thought the episode last week where they went through everyone's birthdays for the year was one of the best episodes in years.
  2. Burnes has given up more homers this inning than the Brewers have hits in the game.
  3. Do we know his bat to ball skills are elite if he's missing pitches in the zone?
  4. Bill is a robot who is programmed to say "He's going to get hot, you just hope it's not when you're in town/until they leave town" at least once a series.
  5. This didn’t age well. Why? I was referring to his perimeter shooting. He was 4 of 11, and several of them were bricks. (He had just thrown one of those bricks when I posted that) But to his credit he knocked down a couple in crunch time and did just about everything else near perfect. 4-11 is 36% which isn't bad at all.
  6. The best part is it's a clear cut two player draft, Knicks and Lakers both move up giving their fan bases hope they'll get either Williamson or Morant and they end up 3rd and 4th.
  7. Lucy: What's my dumb rookie nickname? Eddie: That'll come in time. Lucy: Alright. Well, what was yours? Eddie: Come on. Tingle button. Lucy: Of course. What was my dad's? Eddie: Nope, can't. That I'm not saying. Granny: Tuna can. Lucy: Why? Cuz he likes tuna? Eddie and Ike: Haha, yeah sure. Granny: It's because his junk is wider than it is long. Lucy: Oh god dammit.
  8. I'd argue that isn't really that much money. After taxes and paying your agent, it's not like that was life changing money. Especially if you have a mindset you'll keep making that much. If he was super frugal, he could have tucked away a bit, but not the type of money you'd be able to live off of for the long term. Either way, he shouldn't have resorted to swindling! I also wouldn't say it's a certainty that he got at least $100K back in 1999 as a 10th round pick. Even going back to 2006 which is the earliest I can find for 9th and 10th round picks a lot of high school and junior college guys were signing for $60,000-$100,000. There were a few that were going for around $150,000 but this was still 7 years after Hendrickson's draft and most of the guys were making around $100,000 for their signing bonuses.
  9. It's impossible to calculate.
  10. I made a sort of in jest joke about Travis Shaw being a left handed Casey McGehee on another board a week or two ago. But damn does it seem like that's what he is right now. Not highly touted had a couple of good years and then just fell off a cliff.
  11. Brewers *beep* Astros *beep* World Series *beep* collision course *beep*
  12. Reds have blown 8 and 4 run leads in the series against a really bad Giants offense.
  13. Kurt Suzuki is probably the best hitter on the Nationals right now and we play them next.
  14. Shaw had a 4 pitch walk but robot umps would’ve meant a strikeout. Is Angel Hernandez still suing MLB for discrimination?
  15. I like how Bill is counting the seconds on a slow motion replay.
