  1. Lyle says hi Go brewers!! Notice how that wasn't in blue. So I was being completely serious when I said that. Yeah, that's what I meant.
  2. We're trying to bunt in the 6th inning. It predictably failed miserably.
  3. Peavy was all over the place for one. Second is the reward of getting the 4th run isn't worth the risk of running yourself out of the inning and 3rd since you already tried to steal once in the at bat, they were probably aware of it and so Peavy was probably quicker to the plate.
  4. Because it was the first time in months he was facing live pitching and it probably took a while to flare up before it started bothering him.
  5. I'm not saying keep them permanently to replace the white and blue but it is a nice change of pace every once in a while to get away from all the red and blue around MLB. Just like I love the bright yellow for Oakland and the teal for Seattle, the orange for Miami etc.
  6. Or we could place more blame on Lucroy for not getting the runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. But blaming Rickie is more fun!
  7. Please pinch hit Gennett. Please pinch hit Gennett. Please pinch hit Gennett.
  8. I love the gold.
  9. 4 runs in 23 innings against a team that lost two of their best starting pitchers to season ending injuries.
  10. That's a really good question. I would imagine that umpires are instructed not to throw any player out unless he says something completely vulgar or inappropriate to the ump on the chance that he did get the call wrong and that it's overturned on the replay. I would guess any ejection would stand though.
  11. Tied for 12th youngest with Washington. Houston - 26.9 Miami - 27.1 Atlanta - 27.2 St. Louis - 27.3 Colorado - 27.7 Chicago (AL) - 27.8 Chicago (NL) - 28.0 Baltimore - 28.0 Seattle - 28.1 Cincinnati - 28.2 Pittsburgh - 28.3 Milwaukee - 28.4 Washington - 28.4 Kansas City - 28.5 Minnesota - 28.6 Oakland - 28.6 San Diego - 28.7 Cleveland - 28.7 New York (NL) - 28.8 Texas - 28.9 Los Angeles (AL) 29.0 Toronto - 29.2 Detroit - 29.3 Arizona - 29.4 San Francisco - 29.5 Tampa Bay - 29.5 Los Angeles (NL) - 29.8 Philadelphia - 30.3 Boston - 30.4 New York (AL) - 30.9 Looking at that we're also the oldest team in the division.
  12. [sarcasm]They're being completely unfair to us because we don't hype our young talent like other teams do.[/sarcasm]
  13. Token bullpen gas can this year is Zach Duke. He is also the guy that Roenicke is going to have way too much confidence in for some reason. http://imavex.vo.llnwd.net/o18/clients/runyonsurfaceprep/images/red_gas_can.jpg
  14. He tried. Offered him 6/144.5 and it was declined.
  15. I'll go on record as saying 77-85.
  16. The comments in that article are great. Luckily most of the fans aren't buying the crap that Weiss and the writer are selling.
  17. If Reynolds is going to start 80% of the time, keeping Overbay is even dumber than it already looks. At least with Francisco you have position flexibility (even if he isn't a good defender, he can play 3B) while also having more power, being younger and cheaper than Overbay.
  18. Francisco is on release waivers per Mike Vassallo.
