  1. Craig, that wasn't a "high fly ball", line drives aren't "high fly balls."
  2. Hey McGehee, somebody stole third base and learn to throw.
  3. You mean other than a Branyan no-doubter? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. Those 56 best/worst analogies you posted on your blog are some of the funniest things I've ever read.
  5. Pretty much any of us could've made the saves Luongo was making. There were pretty much no hard saves he had to make.
  6. That's the Nashville offense I'm used to. Pekka was outstanding, just a shame his defense hung him out to dry on that goal. I don't expect Nashville to win this round, the Canucks have the defense and goaltending that Anaheim didn't. Will be upset if they lose obviously but not too upset because Vancouver is my third favorite team in the NHL. In order who I want to win the Stanley Cup: 1. Nashville 2. Vancouver 3. San Jose 4. Tampa Bay 5. Washington 6. Philadelphia 7. Boston 8. Detroit
  7. Why? Gamel hits lefties as well as he hits righties. Nady and Cantu are garbage.
  8. Bruins beat the Habs in OT. 9th straight day with an OT game extending the NHL record. Lightning go on the road and beat Pittsburgh 1-0. East Semis are set now too. Lightning vs Capitals Bruins vs Flyers
  9. It takes 11 hours to drive from Orlando to Nashville so if you drive non stop, you'll get there right as the game is starting.
  10. BTW, here are games where Axford has pitched back to back days and how many pitches he threw. 5/19 - 5/20 - 50 pitches 6/5 - 6/6 - 45 pitches 6/22 - 6/23 - 53 pitches 7/9 - 7/11 - 50 pitches 7/22 - 7/24 - 48 pitches 8/2 - 8/3 - 30 pitches 8/8 - 8/9 - 36 pitches 8/17 - 8/18 - 45 pitches 8/27 - 8/28 - 34 pitches 9/28 - 9/29 - 33 pitches And Roenicke has done it twice this year with 34 pitches and 31 pitches. Axford had 13 pitches yesterday and 14 today. At the very least leave him out for Renteria and Stubbs and have Braddock warmed up for Bruce and Votto. Then you still have Mitre with a bunch of righties up (only lefty would've been Hermida who would pinch hit) after that it's all righties until Bruce and Votto are up again.
  11. Their goal song is enough to make me hate them as much as the Bears.
  12. I hope Shane O'Brien does it. He takes stupid penalties anyways, might as well get a game misconduct so I don't have to watch him.
  13. Reteria is 36 and played a total of 68 games last season. And 124 the year before. Just because they had a better option in Uribe doesn't mean Renteria sucks. Cabrera is one year older, has a high water mark of 123 games in the last three seasons. Huh? 2006 - 153 2007 - 155 2008 - 161 2009 - 160 2010 - 123 So yeah, 150+ games four of the last five full seasons. In that season managed 303 OBP and a 657 OPS. Neither I or anybody else is saying he's better offensively than Betancourt. They both suck offensively, Cabrera is superior defensively however and could have been had at the gigantic cost of $1 million.
  14. Just epic playoffs so far. Half the series in the first round will go 7 games. Vancouver just beat Chicago, Luongo and Crawford were great, Luongo had a huge save on a penalty kill in OT. Habs force a game 7 tomorrow in Boston along with the Pens and Lightning in a game 7 tomorrow. West Semis are set Nashville vs Vancouver Detroit vs San Jose If the Habs win tomorrow it looks like this. Montreal vs Washington Pittsburgh/Tampa Bay winner vs Philadelphia If the Habs lose it looks like this. Pittsburgh/Tampa Bay winner vs Washington Boston vs Philadelphia
  15. Yes. Now that I know the result. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. "That one's hit well." - Brian on a ball Kotsay hits that lands 20 feet short of the warning track
