Melvin did an interview on WSSP maybe 5 days ago and they asked him about this. He said Gomez may not be the ideal #2 hitter but he scores a lot of runs. It really annoys me when he says crap like that, because he should be smarter. -
Nice flyout by Lucroy to clear the pitcher's spot. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

He said the same thing tonight:
-
47 pitch inning. Not that bad.

This is my first time playing fantasy baseball but I'm facing the best pitching that I think you could ever assemble. Even more amazing is it's a 16 team league so it's not like 4 or 6 teams or anything. The guy I'm playing against has Dan Haren, CC Sabathia, Tim Hudson, Zack Greinke, Jon Lester, Chad Billingsley, Derek Lowe, Josh Beckett and Josh Johnson. And then he has other decent pitchers in Jason Marquis, Carlos Zambrano and Mat Latos with Mariano Rivera as a closer. I think he made some trades to get all that pitching but it's impressive none the less. Lucky for me his offense sucks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The only categories I'm trailing him in are IP (90 to 57), strikeouts (75 to 60) and WHIP (1.03 to 1.05).

Really needed to bring Loe in with 2 outs up 5?
-
Our bullpen isn't being helped by Stetter being completely useless.
-
I think Hart was out.
-
I thought he was safe.
-
First day he's eligible to come back is Monday.
-
The only people who deserve to be tossed from this game are the umpires.
-
It's like a 10 second fight. Rickie takes a right hook and KO's Cedeno, easily.
-
Ronny Cedeno is a baby.
-
It would have taken less time to go watch the replay and change the call than it did for Roenicke to go out and argue, the umps to get together and keep the same call and then go explain to Roenicke why they're incompetent.
-
Ha, these umpires are all kinds of terrible.
-
Braddock faced five hitters and struck all of them out. First three swinging, last two looking.
-
Had a ton of rain and hail yesterday. This was a couple minutes after the hail started, it lasted about 10 more minutes. http://oi54.tinypic.com/2w4iibl.jpg

You can now make this 32 of 36 games.
-
The Padres have scored 6 runs in this inning. They've scored less than 6 runs in 30 of their 36 games this year.
-
LOL.
-
I'm sure he'll give it back as long as he gets Prince's bat signed by the entire team, half of Prince's next contract, five game balls and a season tickets for life.
-
.411 OPS for Nieves. LOL.
-
Pretty funny how Cory was complaining about the strike called on McGehee when gameday says it was a strike and also says pitches 1 and 3 were strikes but called balls.
-
The Padres had their season high hit total last night. They've already matched last night's total today.
