Perfect game is over with the first batter, but the no-hitter is still intact since it was a walk. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif A walk, a hit batter and two errors lead to an unearned run against Schuster.
I'm not sure that that's a good idea. The umpires are probably expecting it tonight and could eject whatever pitcher we use to throw at a Pirate. So using the starting pitcher doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
I know there's a thread on him in the draft forum, but I'm not sure how much action that gets so I thought I'd put it here. Patrick Schuster, the high school pitcher who has thrown four consecutive no-hitters will have every pitch shown on ESPNEWS coming up at 3 PM today. So if you want to see if he can make it five straight, tune in to ESPNEWS.
I think you're greatly exagerrating how bad of a throw that was. I agree, the blame should be placed on Hall for that, but if Fielder would've put his left foot on the base, he could've kept his foot on the base and gotten in front of the ball to keep it from bouncing away. The Astros broadcast had a great replay of this right behind first base.
The Yankees have Austin Jackson who will probably start in CF next year. That's one of the reasons they wanted Cameron, to bridge the gap until Jackson is ready.
While I agree for the most part, look at Braun's BB% from every month last year. April - 3.7% May - 4.8% June - 5.4% July - 7.3% August - 7.3% September - 10.6% So except for July and August (which remained the same) he improved his BB% every month last year.
